I'm getting Monster Hunter Rise pretty soon and I was wondering which weapons were fun to use, but still damage dealing. I've already heard about the Insect Glaive (from the article) and the hunting horn, and they both seem pretty fun. Any recommended weapons, my fighting style would be up close not ranged, and probably more dodging and maneuvering than blocks and counters.

@FroZtedFlakerZz Then I think you should go for dual blades, Its really fast and all close range, it also has some attacks to get you out of the way. Thats what it sound like form what you said you play style was, but you can't really know till you try them out, only you can say what weapons you really like.

I've been using Long Sword in Rise and I'm loving it - especially now my first build is coming together.
Is the demo still available? If so download it and have a play around with the different weapons and see what you like ready for when you get the full game.
Dual blades or Hammer for the OP.
I prefer the Hammer myself, nothing better than applying blunt force to a Tigrex's toothy maw and making it see stars.
