Topic: Monster Hunter Rise

This game is so badass, except the player base. Looking forward to playing single player for a bit, then double-dipping on the pc version for multiplayer.

Nintendo fans are insufferable.

No need to come here and complain about the fanbase, you can use Twitter for that. This "player base" convinced me to get the game, so there's some good here.

I don't see much of an issue with the playerbase for the game, or the Nintendo switch version of the game. I can see preference for PC, due to better graphics and more control over your control options.. but it's odd how you're complaining about a Nintendo fanbase on a forum for Nintendo fans that're waiting for a Nintendo console exclusive game.

There's a lot of irony in coming to a Nintendo fan site to complain about Nintendo fans.

The playerbase for this game is great I may not be getting the game for like another month but @JaxonH over here made me want to get back into MH games after three years, I going to go back to world at some point after I play this one. Now you don't have to like everything about nintendo but you said it almost like "Nintendo fans are like the a virus" I mean nintendo fans are not bad at all just misunderstood.

@JustMe If I could I would buy two of every game I buy one for keeping and one for playing.

Switch fans, like Sony fans, MS fans, Steam fans, etc, are not a single, hive minded collective. It is a group comprised of many individuals from all over the world. Each and every person is different.

And taking the behaviors of a few individuals, and using that to insult the entire collective, demonstrates the breadth of one's own ignorance. Beyond that, not holding other fan groups accountable to the same standard (which, any group of fans tainted by the conduct of a few can be characterized in a negative light) shows the breadth of one's own hypocrisy.

The MH fanbase on Nintendo is the best group of people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Does that mean there isn't pockets of elitism and childish conduct? Of course not. But in my experience, I've never met a group of more courteous and helpful people in my life. Especially when compared side by side with my experience in World on other platforms, where we saw such a large influx of toxicity.

I gave in and made a new Amazon Jp account with a new email, and ordered the three MonHun amiibo, along with JP Byleth and Banjo.

The MH amiibo are due to arrive in......mid June?!

.....It's better than nothing, I suppose. It's not like the amiibo are absolutely vital to play the game so I'm still happy.

GameStop just charged my credit card for my preorder. I probably won't get it on release day, but at least I will be getting it.

I'm sure they'll send them out before that. Sometimes they just put far out dates to cover themselves.

I saw the Stories 2 amiibo already went live and sold out on Amazon JP. I'll be keeping an eye out for those coming back in stock

No endgame at launch?

I suppose Capcom wants to leave some "meat on the bone" for the Ultimate version next year?

Saw this on sale physically in one of my local stores for way cheaper than on the E-shop. It's really tempting me to take the plunge and try the series

@Magician Wait, there's no endgame at launch? I suppose that's why there's updates coming soon after the game releases, kind of like World.

The HR limit is being unlocked in the late April update.

Which honestly, being only a month after release, is perfect timing. Anyone who flies through the game can spend that first month getting to the end, then as soon as they get there, the update drops.

I do wish it was there at launch, but being in a pandemic and knowing it was delayed already, and the fact the updates are so soon after release, it's all good.

Alright, just digitally prepurchased this. It's downloading onto my system now.

Between this and Persona 5 Strikers, I should be set until Nocturne releases in late May.

I'm really looking forward to it, but I'm still not happy about having to swap lobbies between solo and multiplayer modes in a current gen game - hopefully it isn't too much of a ball ache with minimal loading between.

@Mr-Fuggles777 The reason why I believe they did that was due to the switch's portable nature, and the inability to be connected to the internet at all times. But it does make it harder for if you're playing Solo, and need help on a quest.

@VoidofLight it was more noticeable playing the MH demo and Outriders demo at the same time - both looters of sorts but Outriderz had drop in co-op, it makes looting and grinding much more straight forward than having to join a lobby and hope the team want to grind the same monster.

Apart from the campaign I didn't do anything in world solo, even when I had no immediate objective I would just join SoS hunts and kill whatever was going without having to go through a lobby.

Any word on how much the DLC will cost? Honestly, I'm a little disappointed that we're paying $60 for what Nintendo Life suggests is an incomplete game, and that we'll have to pay extra for the full experience. That knocked my enthusiasm down a peg.
