Topic: Metal slug can't add second player

Hey guys,
I've purchased metal slug and I'm trying to add a second player. The controls say that I can press 'R' to add a second player but that doesn't work. I have made sure that the amount of players is 2 and I'm using the joy con controllers. Any help would be appreciated

@Adkra @Masurao Is this game the same port as the PS4 version? I am tempted to purchase it again, especially as it is cheaper than the version on the PS4.

I think it plays well on the Switch. I had the Anthology for PS4 and there was serious input lag. The individual releases, though, don't seem to. Looks and sounds as good as a 20 year-old arcade title can . Hopeful they release the entire franchise on Switch and are open to sales rewarding folks who buy several entries.
