Both E3 2016 and 2017, Nintendo went way too spoiler heavy (2016 for BotW, 2017 for SMO). Replacing a few of those segments with indie and 3rd party games would've been much better.
That's why I only saw the trailers and left it at that. BotW's case was mostly them spoiling everything on the Great Plateau, which were a lot of things you'd see in game.
Not sure if this is old news and I'm just a bit behind but has anyone noticed the music playing when you get a basic moon is the same as the one when you get a star in Super Mario 64?
I've been kind of avoiding this game since E3 so I don't get too spoiled, I've seen more than enough from the first couple of kingdoms to know I want the game, now I just want to get it and be surprised.
@Bolt_Strike i think there will be some nice suprises. The game seems its gonna be huuuuge... i do feel a bit spoiled by so much of whats been shown already. The game looks good. Maybe the best 3D Mario ever.

Would be pretty crazy if within a single year of the Switch they have what many people think is the best Zelda and what many people think is the best 3D Mario.
(and I guess they could have the best Xenoblade too)
Just saw a recommended video for Odyssey for "All Bosses". Seriously, what the heck people. Can we not be spoiled on everything? How do they even have the game anyway? (More than a month 'till release!) Watch your clicks out there people.
@Dezzy I don't know if they'll ever top Xenoblade 1. That is a special game. But if they did it once, they can do it again. However, I certainly don't think it will be this time, although Xenoblade 2 sure looks incredibly expansive.
I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke! My YouTube Channel! Video game related, of course! My Pushmo Levels
@MasterWario Well don't watch it of course. But even if the thumbnail is spoilers it definitely isn't 'all bosses.' The only known bosses from the later half of the game are the rabbits, and those are no secret.
@Haru17 Yeah no way did I watch it! I double-checked the title and it didn't say anything like "All Known Bosses", perhaps it was trying to clickbait. Isn't that the problem with clickbait. You won't know if it is or not until you actually click on it. Huh.

I'm totally in avoid spoiler mode. I'm buying it day one anyways. And I don't think there's gameplay tricks and secrets to discover that could totally enhance your playing of the game.
Unless some of you in see-all land are sure you learned stuff you feel you might've missed on your own of course?
I have been avoiding most if not all new media, thankfully it's easy. I have no desire to see the game before I can sit down with it myself. I'm hoping for that childhood magic feeling

Xenoblade Chronicles suffers from stale voice acting, cookie cutter character tropes and horrible fetch quests. What it did well was it's music, lore/world building and story. Problem is, that may make a good book/tv series, but it doesn't make a perfect game by any stretch. Xenoblade Chronicles X brought better voice acting, better world design, great side quests with actual consequences and narrative meaning, but it was poor when it came to offering a rich narrative tale for the main quest. That makes for a great game, but not a gripping, timeless adventure.
The thing is, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 seems to combine the better aspects of both games. If it can take the rich story and music from the first game, and combine it with every other aspect from Xenoblade Chronicles X, you'd have a perfect, amazing game.

I don't expect they'll top it. But then I still prefer Ocarina over Breath of the Wild and I think I'll probably still prefer Galaxy over Odyssey.
What they have a far better chance of though is creating a bigger audience for the series, and therefore more people will come to prefer the new one. Sort of like how Final Fantasy hardcore fans are often divided over whether FF6 or FF7 is better. But if you just ask the general gaming audience, rather than the hardcore loyalists, they're gonna say FF7 because about 3 times as many people have played it.
The bigger audience is highly likely just due to the point at which it's being released and the projected success of the console. It's being released at an earlier point than Chronicles 1 and on a soon to be more successful console than XCX.
@Dezzy That could be any western online game though, you only know it's an MMO if it has auto-attack and 'action' bars.
But anyway, how do we think the Donkey Kong boss fight will go? Will he grab Mayor Pauline and scale the New Donk City Empire State Building? Will there be biplanes and everything!? In a Mario game?
