And judging from the recent direct, watching it jump like Mario.
It jumps almost as far as brute wyverns in the new Monster Hunter. I wonder how that even controls, like if we'll have to hold a run button or something before jumping.
I have a question I'm not sure if any of you will know the answer to:
I am mad at myself because I watched the full treehouse Steam Gardens demo, the full Gamescon Luncheon Demo and saw multiple clips of the sand and metro kingdom. Especially for the latter two I am afraid I saw too much. Does anyone know if certain parts of the game were blocked off for the demos (cause I saw a lot of moons collected) or are there different achievements to get at night?
I don't know if there is a day/night cycle, but it's very likely the demo showed a small area of the kingdoms. They won't show everything and spoil all the secrets.
What's everyones favourite looking kingdom we have seen so far?
Obviously we can't really judge the kingdoms gameplay-wise, but aesthetically my favourites would have to be the Forest kingdom (love the tall trees and the juxtaposed rusted metal) and the Cascade kingdom (as a geologist I can't help myself from liking the T-rex!)
I've only really watched the game trailers done by Nintendo, so I should be fine at least. Haru is right though, in that Nintendo really did sort of spoil a lot of BotW's mechanics.
@Grumblevolcano I believe it will be an extended Direct to make sure to show you every single hidden secret, collectable and area within the game as well as it's ending.

@Haru17 There were a TON of BotW secrets that were nowhere near the demos, so I'd say I'm pretty sure Mario Odyssey's kingdoms have much more to them than what has been shown (which really drives home the fact of just how massive this game will be).

To me it seemed like for previews gaming sites could spend a few hours doing whatever they wanted in about 5 of the different kingdoms so far - if they all went in different directions that's why I was worried about getting stuff spoiled cause I used to watch all the previews
They didn't spoil some things for BotW, but they did show too much in general. Although, this shouldn't be surprising considering they had to milk the game for a whole E3 among other things.
Be weary with reviews if you want to go in spoiler free. Most don't mention plot, but being reviews , they obviously go in deeper.
@Haru17 Many of my favorite things in the game weren't spoiled, and as such caught me completely off guard and blew me away. A couple examples off the top of my head are the Divine Beasts and the dragons.
Youtube's trying to spoil me on the Recommended page. The battle to stay spoiler free (for me) begins now. GameXplain already spoiled something with their stupid thumbnail.
I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke! My YouTube Channel! Video game related, of course! My Pushmo Levels
Yeah after watching way too many clips of everything I am now completely cutting it off until Oct. 27th. I'm pretty sure I now know all the kingdoms except the final one (unless it's been revealed?) so I don't want that spoiled!
@MegaTen I mean, it is just the colors on his overalls reversed. I think I googled 'Jumpman' a couple days ago because that's not something I would have normally encountered and literally couldn't tell the difference in that sprite from typical Mario
