Topic: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

@Anti-Matter I think about that game all the time, sometimes I even find myself dreaming about it.
Lol, Track customization is cool and all but I think you misunderstand, this ain't a new game or anything just a ton of new racetracks being added.
You can hold out your hopes for those features being in 2025 MK9 though!
(Also MK8 Deluxe does have the mii customization and vehicle customization)

Also, if you add the 3 different vehicles type from Skylanders Superchargers (land, water and air vehicles) + Transformable vehicles from Sonic Racing Transformed, it will be the Best Mario Kart game ever.

I'm honestly pretty happy that some of Mario Kart Tour's courses are coming, because I can actually play them. I hated MKT's controls.

The problem I’ve seen on social media is that the graphics look like they’ve been downgraded because the art style of Mario Kart Tour is so different from the tracks in the original Mario Kart 8 it looks out of place. So I’m curious how true that is.

Meh, I'm not keen of the suggestion of a track creator myself. 99% of the time player made tracks are no fun to play and doesn't beat a well designed track from Nintendo. Like think about how either tricky or rubbish the bulk of the Mario Maker levels are and then add a Blue Shell hitting you, it's asking for RAGE!

@MarioLover92 yeah it’ll definitely feel better with normal controls.

I'd love to see Maple Treeway and Toad's Factory from Mario Kart Wii, Daisy Cruiser and DK Mountain from Double Dash, Waluigi Pinball from DS, and Wuhu Loop from 7.

I think we'll get a new wave every 4 months or so if they spread it out evenly. Would work out nicely with the direct schedule too. We'll probably get yhe wave 2 tracks announced at the E3 direct, releasing about a month later in July.

You know what would be great? Rainbow Road from Wii. That one is overlooked constantly and I don't know why, it's the best three lap one in the series. Me and my sister played on that one so much when we were young, I would love to see it come back, if not only for a remixed version of it's music.

Wish Nintendo would sell it by each wave instead of all or nothing option. Because 2 years just for the tracks is a little ridiculous in my opinion.

@Anti-Matter We've already got gliding, anti-gravity, and underwater so I don't really think we need that.
@jump Same, I wouldn't be quite keen on a track editor myself, I'm sure some gems would come out of it but blimey I'm fine with 48 new tracks too!

Super cool to see the game get more stages! I don't think they will, but I would love it if they did a mission mode like DS had, and a few more characters. DK Junior and Pauline would be amazing. And Captain Falcon. He has one or two stages already and Link is playable.

@Fizza I need Rainbow road from 7 and wii, god do I love 7's rainbow road.

Wouldn't it be sick if one of the cups was just an all rainbow road cup, from all the mario kart games? mario kart 8's rainbow road is fine, but is not nearly as cool as others before it.

Mario kart 8 deluxe is a great looking game we can all agree. I’m just worried as have looked at the dlc levels again which most are from Mario kart tour and they don’t really match the quality of Mario kart 8. I can play Mario kart tour on my tv with my phone and it looks great but not Mario kart 8 great. I was looking at the grass in toads circuit and it was just flat green. I’ll try and add a screen shot

The gliding, underwater and anti gravity on Mario Kart 8 are completely different with three different vehicles type. Would like to see Mario riding jet coaster from water type vehicles or riding an aeroplane for air type vehicles. Third party developers already tried out those features for their racing games, only Nintendo still haven't tried yet.

@1UP_MARIO I have seen this same thing said on social media. People are saying they just used the tracks as is from Mario Kart Tour and didn’t do anything to bring it up the graphical standard of the Mario Kart 8 tracks.

@1UP_MARIO Thats a little worrying, on top of the price as well.

@FragRed I noticed it when I watched the trailer on a bigger TV a couple of times. The grass or road texture on Mario circuit MK8 and the grass on toad circuit MKT is really noticeable

@Snatcher I could be wrong. I just hope it gets the quality treatment like the original dlc tracks got on Wii U. They are giving us a lot of tracks but nearly 80% or higher are from MKTour
