@Octane That´s nice, as even though Sunshine doesn´t have graphic boss fights, it still felt disgusting holding that poor guy´s wriggling hand in FLUDD. I´m not planning on replaying the game, but still.

We need a Mario + Rabbids sequel! And an Odyssey one too!

@Octane Wait, you have to beat him multiple times? I´m not that far into Sunshine and just beat Gooper Blooper for the first time. Now that I know that I don´t have to pull his arms off, this game´ll be a lot more enjoyable!

@Zeldafan79
The Wii U VC and NES and Super NES had them, so I don't get why they would be taken out now.
I'm mainly talking about SM64 and Sunshine, especially Sunshine as it has some of the most annoying/frustrating levels in the (3D) Mario series, like the Manta Ray level, the The Goopy Inferno, the chuckster levels, the pachinko level, the Final Boss fight (Bowser), I could go on.
I don't even think I would use it on Galaxy, as it's the easiest of the 3 games, and it doesn't kick you of the galaxy each time you die.

Please give Ninjala a chance, guys. 🤔

@Octane I guess I must've fought him in Noki Bay as well. I completely forgot. I collected all of the sprites from every level but Sirena Beach. so I guess I must've fought him three times already.

Huh. Weird.

Yeah, I know that you can remap the buttons system-wide, it just seems annoying to switch between the 2 "setups" (One for Sunshine, one for the "default" setup) that I would have saved for remapping the controller, but thanks for letting me know though.
That's why I'm leaning more towards the "Modern"/"Classic" setup theory, as the Camera controls page that was shown for the upcoming update has a "Modern"/"Classic" button, and I feel like they wouldn't create those buttons just for the camera controls, and it's easier to do than making an entire remapping command.

@Ralizah @AwesomEli @jump Yeah Mario Sunshine is weirdly violent and graphic in places by Mario standards! Even the way Mario reacts when he's electrocuted and burned... I FELT that!

I came across a fascinating Mario Sunshine interview with Miyamoto and the creators of the game from 2002: https://www.gamecubicle.com/interview-super_mario_sunshine.htm

Interesting that they changed the direction of the game late in development to make it "more like Mario 64" (I wonder how it would've played originally?) and that Miyamoto admits it's more of a game for hardcore gamers and might not appeal to casual players. And this: "One thing we may need to reflect upon is that players have to clear all of the stages in order to get to the final one. We should have designed the game differently, but we couldn't" He seems almost disappointed in the game several times actually.

These comments from him didn't age well!

""Get accustomed to the GCN Controller because, 10 years from now, this controller will be the standard"

"Last year, there were sightseers in the game, but I felt it was too strange for Mario to encounters ordinary human beings — rather than the ones living in his world"

I don't understand the Yoshi theory. Sounds like nonsense.
I completed Mario 64, and I'm still working my way through Sunshine before I get into Galaxy. I'm at almost 100 shines.
From what I heard, Galaxy works just fine, so I don't see why Galaxy 2 couldn't.
Yoshi's pointer controls are just like the pointer controls in Galaxy 1.

@Toastedkitty1223 You replied to one of my posts here but I’m not sure which one.

Heigh Ho Heigh Ho. It’s off to work (from home) I go.

@BabyYoshi12
I believe Toastedkitty1223 was responding to the Woolly World Discussion that happened in this forum almost a month ago.
The reason I say that is because they said something about the 3DS, and I believe the only thing discussed in this forum that involved the 3DS was Woolly World, and the other Yoshi 3DS games that were talked about as part of that discussion.
Also, I hope you don't mind me answering for them. It's just that it's almost been a week since they (or anyone else) has said anything.

Is anyone expecting data miners to find anything additional (or removed) with the new update releasing today?
Also, why has this thread become a "zombie" thread (or whatever you want to call it) recently?
You guys broke the record of longest gaps between responses, (which was 6 days and 2 hours).

Huh, apparently they've now removed the debug cubes .... ? Kind of a shame, I liked seeing those

Did you by chance have the control stick pushed in a certain direction when you started up the console or game? Not sure how the Switch handles it, but on previous systems, it would calibrate the stick when you start up a game. So if you had it anywhere but the center, it would assume that is neutral and throw everything off, if that makes sense.

I regret paying full price for a physical copy now as I've seen it for about £10-15 cheaper. Normally I would have been happy to wait but with the limited run and retailers selling out before the release date I felt too much pressure to get it as soon as possible.

@korosanbo It happens to me too sometimes. I remember that it also happened in the original Wii version.
