Topic: Is Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 coming?

@GrailUK will it have online play , I bought the one for 3DS. But it doesnt have online play. The two super monkey ball games on gamecube never had online play and they were only made for multiplayer, but great games and hope they do get released

@Ninfan Oh man oh man oh man oh man. That would be amazing! (I would argue the single player game was genius and unfair to see it purely as multiplayer bonus games (which were fantastic too!)) Gah, such a great game!!!

What I really want is a new game that is on par with the first two, but that may not be possible without Amusement Vision around anymore. Remasters would also be welcome.

Super Monkey Ball 2 with online would be a dream come true.

@kkslider5552000 I prefered 1's levels. Less gimicky. But some sort of collection gathering all the levels and games would be fabulous. Maybe add some new stuff and online. Gah, think I'm going to explo-

@GrailUK do you have & like the Monkey Ball currently on the Switch? I've been tempted, and asked about it on recommendation thread about 2 weeks ago, but nobody replied.

@WoomyNNYes I like it, but the fact they made it into a platformer (by adding jump) changes the game for the worse, in my book. I can recommend the first 2 in a heartbeat. Blitz, not so much. It's not terrible by any stretch.

The best part of Banana Blitz was the music tbh (AFAIK they changed some of it for the re-release though).

@WoomyNNYes If Monkey Mania turns out to be some sort of 'best of', then barring a catastrophic conversion, buy it! Hehe.

The original is such a fantastic game. I still play it regularly on GameCube. Unfortunately, the series got steadily worse with each new entry. The second is still really good. Just not quite as good. I would love to see the first two games ported to Switch. If it's a new game entirely, I hope they've gone back to basics. The main game works best as a simple arcade experience. It should include a collection of simple yet addictive multiplayer mini games. Basically, I just want the first game with a bunch of new levels.

@HexagonSun If they include older levels, I reckon they will make the master levels much easier to unlock. A lot of gamers would cry over that these days instead of appreciating the joy in the challenge.

The use of Mania immediately makes me think of Sonic Mania. Which is probably now giving this game unfair expectations. That's probably just a coincidence.

Ideally for me I'd want 2 with online or something at least close enough to 2's quality with online. But if its just any good, return to form for the series, I'll take it.
