Topic: How do you format a 256gb MicroSD Card?

I had already installed MiniTool program, and Rufus software to format a 256gb MicroSD card, but for the Nintendo Wii U, and Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Wii U says, “I need to format a SD card, and for the Nintendo Switch. I can’t take anymore screenshots for the Nintendo Switch’s album.

Alternative method (untested), say "alex olney" three times into a mirror, and he'll magically appear and do it for you. ;p

It didn’t worked. And, what’s with the alternative method?

Sorry @LinkxPeach, I was in a silly mood.

So, formatting the card in the console didn't work? Weird. I'm not sure what the snag is if that's the case. I think Nintendo support line & chat messenger are still open for another hour? It's open now. The buttons on their contact page are purple when they are open. They're grayed out when they are closed.

edit: their hours are 6:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. PT. They're open for another two hours.

One can always use a computer following NIN instruction and reformat it. If that doesn't work that means your sd card is bad.

In case LinksPeach or anyone else can't find directions to format microSD with a computer. They only seem to be found on the page How to Transfer Data Between microSD Cards for Use on Nintendo Switch. At the bottom of the directions, hypertext "our recommendations" points to a 3DS page for the computer directions. Pretty sneaky.
