@Nicobaer Surprised nobody has replied yet. Maybe someone will see my reply and say, I can do better than WoomyNNyes I would skim through a video walkthrough/playthrough; I pasted the youtube video for world 19. I don't know if it will help you. If its not in there, maybe check the world before or after to see if you can see when the Robo gear is found/used. I also pasted IGN's walkthrough wiki guide. Forgive me if you've tried these things already.
I'm not in World 19 yet so I don't know why you need clothing to progress but you can switch between worlds from the menu when you are in the world map. (The same menu that has the skill tree, smoothie making, etc.) Each stage should say what items can be collected there and some quests give you amethysts too.

I am facing a similar problem... My son is in world 19, level 146 and is being asked to buy clothes (top, bottom, shoes) of brand fitness machine to continue. But, there are no bottom or shoes of this brand in the store of this world! Perhaps, these clothes are in a previous world, not sure. But there doesn't seem to be a no way to proceed from this point, or go back!
