The dreaded and beloved backlog! Personally I try and avoid amassing a backlog that’ll become unmanageable. On Switch I have over 20 games I’ve never even seen the title screen on yet. I do intend to play and complete them all, I have to give Switch credit as it boasts a great library of games. I have games like ….Borderlands Collection, Ori Will of the Wisps, Witcher 3, Luigis Mansion 3, Subnautica, Oxenfree, Kentucky Route Zero, The Messenger, Wolfenstein II to name a few. All great games but I like many just lack the time these days. I’ll keep purchasing games on discount but I’ll do so while keeping an eye on the size of my backlog. Life is too short!…I’d hate to not be able to enjoy the gaming experiences I spent my hard earned money on! Tbh, backlogs are very much a hobby and addiction, if not kept in check it’s not too unlike hoarding IMO. Having so many options can create anxiety as well, there’s always going to be a game to finish and of course there’ll always be new games. I truly hope all gamers can eventually experience their entire backlogs before it’s too late!
My backlog is rather bloated. Besides the 18 Switch games in it, I also own dozens of Master System and Mega Drive games I haven't played seriously yet
Since January 2021 owner of my first real Nintendo "home" console.
I have several games sitting around waiting to be played that i haven't even touched yet. Alot of them are Indie games i downloaded on Wii U or switch. There's also Devil may cry 5 and Nioh on PS4 that i bought at launch and should really get playing. I also have RE Village that i got for my last birthday in may and haven't even started it yet. I should really stop replaying old favorites and get to the recent stuff.
I would keep the Switch games in my backlog in blister, if I hadn't to check if the cartridges are in the boxes.
Already got delivered boxes without games in 'em. Twice, both ordered at Amazon.fr.

I still have to play Spider-Man: Miles Morales and finish Demon's Souls on PS5, while I've been playing every main FF entry on multiple platforms to pass the time until XVI. Same with both Bayonetta games until Bayo 3 decides to finally come out of purgatory

@TheFrenchiestFry Miles Morales is amazing! I played the first one and MM in order and I actually found myself enjoying MM more. The combat and exploration are much better imo, even if the story doesn't reach the highs of the first one.
FMA is the best anime ever made. Don't @ me especially if you like SAO more.
@EdwardElric That's the general consensus I've heard. I have played a bit of the PS5 remaster of the first Spider-Man game and it probably already sets my expectations for just how good Miles Morales is going to look visually, but I've essentially tried to stay clear of everything else related to that game plot wise. All I basically know is that it takes place after City That Never Sleeps, Ganke Lee's in it and the main villain is some new version of the Tinkerer

I'm getting really overwhelmed when I turn my switch on.
I wouldn't even say I have a massive backlog compared to others, mine might be 20 or so if you don't include Mario Kart DLC, N64, GB etc etc.
I go on with the intent of playing one game and making progress on it, however as soon as I get on I pick something and don't stick with it then I end up on Tetris 99.
Mario Wonder I really enjoyed because I was immersed in it, as soon as I switched it off I couldn't wait to get back on.
I'm always looking for games on sale (can't miss a bargain can we) I do miss the N64 days. I had a good few games for it but didn't have anywhere near as many options as we do now.
It's great that we have options and games being so cheap but I just feel like all the options makes it difficult to make a choice and stick with it.
Played a few hours of BoTW but I'm stuck on that, I do miss being immersed in a game.
I don't think I need a break from gaming per say, I do need to figure out though what is the best way for me going forward.
Paying for that N64 expansion pass as well and barely used it.
I use to buy games when they were on sale just to have them. But as I grow older, I stopped buying a lot of games and will buy either what Ive owned in the past or what I plan to play in the next month.
My nintendo swtich gaming backlot just got a little bit bigger since i just bought Mortal Kombat 1 and the new remake of Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars.
I should be concentrating on sticking with Zelda skyward sword anyway along with Ni No Kuni II the rest of this year and onward.
but im going to be grinding like crazy with Mortal Kombat 1 and Super Mario RPG though
Backlogs for me those not loaded or played yet but that itself is daunting task just thinking backlogs. Backlogs can be different for anyone some have few and some have hundreds to scary to look under the bed.... lmao
Right now on Switch its:
-DBZ FighterZ
-Mario + Rabbids
-Saints Row IV
-Cruis'n Blast
-Every game on the Megaman Zero/ZX collection except the first one
-I guess Aria of Sorrow on the Castlevania Advance Collection, a game I beat the year it came out but technically have never owned
-Also Megaman 10 on the Legacy Collection
-Does Advance War 2's campaign count?
-Grandia 1+2
-Doom 3
-Doom 64
-Doom Eternal
-Alien Isolation
-This will change very soon but Metroid Prime: Remastered
-Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville (I dunno if I'll ever get around to this or if people will be on this on Switch at all, thank god it was a cheap purchase)
-Golf Story
-the 2D Yooka Laylee
