Topic: Help me find this game

I good while back, I saw a article on Nintendolife about a game in the works that they were hoping would come out on WiiU. Clearly that won't happen but I wouldn't mind seeing it on the Switch.

Problem is, I can't remember the darn game. I believe I saw the article here maybe about a year or so ago. It looked a bit like Zelda WindWaker. From what my memory can piece together from the trailer I had seen, your character had dark brown hair, kinda cartoonish look (like Windwaker). there were parts where you were on a boat, there was a scene where you were by a campfire in the snow. You might have had NPC joining you from time to time (I could be wrong here). I think the main character had a scarf or something covering his mouth.

Whatever this game is/was (for all I know this game was never released), it looked pretty promising. Do any of you have an idea of what I'm talking about?
