How many others get hand cramps fast playing in hand held mode?

Never.
My both hands still fine whenever i play New 3DS XL / Switch.
Maybe you should stretching your fingers like do exercise before playing to avoid hand cramp.

Nope, not at all, and I have larger than normal hands. My arms used to get tired, but not so much anymore.

I’ve had some soreness if I’m holding the Switch up into my palms rather than sitting up and it resting in my hands.

None really. And I play pretty much anyhwere I can at every positions.

I do have small hands though so your mileage may vary.

Yeah I mostly play in dock mode because I don't like how the Switch feels so flat in portable mode it cause my hands to cramp up when using it that way. Is they any grip that makes it feel more comfortable like the Wii U Game pad was because I could use that without any problems.

It helps a lot for me but takes away from how nice it looks with no case on it, but I think my issue is like you said its too flat, even my iPhone 7plus in landscape I can't find a comfortable way to old it, its like my pinkys get lost and cant find where to be posistioned to be comfortable and still have grip
