Topic: Getting Japanese Yen eshop credit in the UK

I have been tackling this for the last couple of days and following every guide possible. I unfortunately seem to have 3 Credit/Debit cards that the Japanese eshop just does not like. I have tried to purchase from Amazon.jp following an extensive guide on how to set up a Japanese account using a forwarding address and registering an international credit card. I have tried 3 times and all 3 accounts have been closed down as they could not verify my card. I have been searching for other sources of Japanese eshop vouchers that can be bought digitally but all of the ones I have found have been marked up in price quite noticeably. I have just spoken to Nintendo customer support and was told that there are suppliers other than Amazon that sell them for face value but as a Nintendo employee he wasn't allowed to give me the websites. He stated he knows they are there as he uses them himself.

Has anyone else had any luck adding yen to the Japanese eshop without paying a mark up to places like play-asia?

Well, when I looked at the play-asia site, they are only marked up $5US($49US when 5000 yen is listed at $43.50US on google) ... which according to the website may be a sale or a price drop... this didn't seem too bad to me, but maybe there is better

As it has been a while now and people have had longer to get used to the Switch I thought I would bring this back up in case anyone had found another good place to buy Japanese eshop vouchers.
