Topic: Games that you want that could run on Switch(Third parties)

Hello! I opened this thread to see your opinions in which games would you like to see. They dont have to be likely ports, they can be anything, as far as it could possibly run well. I personally always chose Nintendo as my main console, so having stuff like Witcher 3 or Alien Isolation which i would have missed if it wasnt for pc its pretty cool. Plus, portability!

I would like to see:
The tomb raider reboot games(Lara for smash, anyone?)
The Mass Effect and Dead Space trilogy
Injustice 2
Borderlands collection
Gta V
Nier: Automata

I don't doubt a competent port studio could port Tales of Arise to switch, especially since its in UE4. The problem is that Tales doesn't have much of a budget. And for Tales games, frame rate is huge.

I would love Sims games on Switch. Hell, they could just port the old console/handheld games and I'd be chuffed.

I don't like the idea though of The Sims 4 coming to the platform where only the base game is available to own as a physical copy and the plethora of expansions are account-locked DLC. I would rather just buy periodically released standalone games instead.

Google any all-time greatest games list for Xbox, 360, PS2, and PS3.

I'd like to have most of those, if not all of them.

Not sure if it's good (well if it feels dated) but always been curious about Far Cry 3
The first 2 ultimate alliance game would also make sense...

I’d like to see Splinter Cell and or Metal Gear Solid.

I'd like to see Borderlands on Switch. But while i think the games could run well on the console(even B3) knowing Randy Pitchford and the overall Gearbox's mindset, they probably believe that the Switch is too much of a "kiddie" console for their games, so i don't see it happening anytime soon.

If Bethesda brought Oblivion over I would find it hard not to buy it again. Really enjoyed that game (my Xbox packed up and I sold my copy of the game since).

Another question here- If the switch is (hopefully) able to run witcher 3 at a good framerate, which other "impossible" games could the system run? I would love to have most of the current gen triple a, but im not good with the requirements of them

Just about anything can be down-rezzed to run on Switch (540p at 30fps). It's all about logistics. The real question is whether or not it would be profitable for "X" game to be on Switch? And if it is profitable, can a reputable developer be contracted to port the game to Switch?

We've seen bad efforts like Blind Squirrel with WWE 2k18. Although to be fair, that was most likely due to the game engine used in WWE 2k18 not being supported very well by the Switch hardware.

So, I can hope for future ports of Cyberpunk 2077 & FFVII Remake ....

I would love to have more RPGs from NIS. Mostly Disgaea games but other than those my most wanted would be Makai Kingdom, Phantom Brave and The Witch and the Hundred Knight.

Other than that, more games like Bayonetta would be cool. Devil may cry on switch? Yes please

@BruceCM I'm not sure about FFVII but Cyberpunk i believe is impossible.
Yes, Witcher 3 is indeed an open-world game with high end graphics but most of the gameplay takes place in open landscapes with mostly trees and a few npcs/enemies here and there moving on the screen. Cyberpunk takes place in a futuristic metropolis full of people, buildings, moving vehicles, neon lights etc. resulting in an extremely crowded screen most of the time. By turning the camera alone the rendering would probably make the chip explode:P
I suppose it can be toned down a lot to the point that would be playable but the sacrifices that would need to be made in such a game aren't worth the effort i believe.

Yeah, I think you're sadly right, @Syndrome .... But I'll hope it might come. Perhaps to Switch 2?
