Is it true that Casual Mode ruins the experience of FE? I'm paranoid that I can't choose classic because I can't invest so much of time without having battle saves. And playing Conquest on Classic sounds a lot like a nightmare for someone like me who can't spend that long to just beat one chapter.
I find it hard to believe that a mode is what can boost sales. Its like a Super Mario Bros level. You don't want handholding because the level is already balanced for you to beat even for lost levels (unless you're not going for the NES one.)
I just can't understand how the casual mode made awakening best in the first place. I mean, why can't they just make the Aum staves abundant instead of having casual mode? That way, people can enjoy the game better.
The only reason why I use casual mode is for the battle saves. I pretty much reset if one of my units die and start from the battle save. I know that the whole point of classic mode is to experience the tactical side of things better. Its just that it could use some more of tweaking to make the game accessible instead of adding modes.
There's no easy mode for Mario because the games are built in such a way that its well balanced.
@Socar:
A) Casual mode doesn't ruin the experience, it changes the experience for players that select it.
B) Casual mode didn't make Awakening better. It made it more approachable. The game being more approachable made it sell better.
C) Mario doesn't have difficulty settings because a different difficulty would mean a new level would have to be created. Mario is a platforming series, so it is you vs the level. FE is a strategy series, you vs the AI. Comparing the two doesn't make much sense.
@DefHalan: Um....unless you're playing something like Genealogy of the holy way, it kinda does.
What's the difference between having abudant supply of staves that revive fallen units and having a mode that allows players to use fallen units in the next battle?

One is an option when you start the game, the other is forward thinking. If you don't want your team bogged down by people that can use staffs but still want to keep everyone alive, maybe you should try Casual mode. No one will make fun of you for playing on Casual mode, especially if you don't tell them lol
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Rubbish, if you play casual, enjoy waifu or like the rubbing face amie thing you shall be judged as a non-real FE fan!!!!

I agree with this. The fact that they didn't explore with the Aum staff all this time, angers me. Triggers me. There was no need to tear the franchise and fan base a new asshole, when you could have just reward players a revival item for skill, speed, and exploration whether it be on map, side chapters, or supports. An item with one use, but many scattered across the game.
Aum could encourage more play styles and allow a better plot device; sacrificial plays, an 'ok to make few mistakes', better team and item management, decision to revive a plot character that's unplayable. There's plenty this mechanic could do.
And it doesn't sound like an insult or a reason to cry about in the fandom, since it would allow more depth.
Dayum IS... DAAAAYUUUUUM!
Well, there's my 2 cents, I'm out.
Wavedashes behind you Got some of dat Maylay?
FE Heroes: 0964602082
Booster pack box containing 16 booster packs with 10 cards each, a theme deck and card sleeves x 2.
I got them since the art is so wonderful. I know the rules but I have no idea what any of the cards do so I guess it'll take me a while before I'll be able to play the game. The booster box had a SR+ card. They are signed cards and there's approximately 25% chance of finding one in a box. People seem to sell them on eBay for 30€ or so. Seems like the box was more than worthy purchase.
I'm also currently playing FE: Sacred Stones. I finished Eirika's campaign a couple of weeks ago and I'm currently playing through Ephraim's route. I'm only playing the chapters I haven't seen yet. I have two chapters left. I think I'll play Shadow Dragon next so I can recognize the characters since third of my FE cards are from Shadow Dragon.
@Late ah, I see. In the first picture, did both of those packs on the right come with a theme?
I think that there are three themes that come with cipher which have the female protagonists in sprite form in the pack on the very right and I think the one on the left has male protagonists?
And there is also this one as well which is in a different pack
@Kazuo: I got just one home theme code. I would've bought the 25th Anniversary Male Sleeves too but they were sold out so I bought the ones with Marth. Those sleeves didn't have a code. I also got a code from the booster box. I think it's Fire Emblem DLC.
@Late okay, I hope I can find them hopefully. My personal favourite are the one with Marth and the female ones I think.
@DarthNocturnal Oh, I didn't realize it was based off of that haha.
Also the theme you are thinking of has characters just from Fates. The other 2 with Cipher have the main characters from all the Fire Emblem games that had sprites (so no PoR/RD)
They can be seen here with the males at 3:12 and females at 4:22.
