@NintendoByNature I will also add to what @Eel said. Having XP boost is nice too so if you are going through a Dungeon and after awhile you are trying to get your way through the Dungeon but keep getting random battles is makes I nice to toggle them off and that way you are losing out on much needed XP/Gold.

@Tasuki @eel good stuff. I have the Gil set at 1x since I wasn't sure if Gil would be as much of an issue as needing to grind later. I actually forgot about the enemy encounter during the dungeon and wish I had remembered. I was just trying to get all of the chests and not be bothered lol.

@NintendoByNature Yeah I believe if you press down on the right stick, click it, it will.turn off the encounters turning clicking down on it again turns them back on.

IV is flying by as I'm fully invested and can't put it down. I'm already headed to the underworld which looks to be towards the 2nd half of the game.

@WaveBoy I will admit I wasn't big on RPGs till the SNES. I got my free copy of Dragon Warrior from Nintendo Power played it a bit but just couldn't get into it. But then one day when I went over to a friend's house he was playing FF II. I watched him a bit and just fell in love with the game. Everything with that game was just epic, the music, the story, and of course the music. It was that point that I released that video games could be more then simple games like on the NES, they could tell huge stories akin to a book.

After that, of.course I played games like Final.Fantasy 3, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana (which is more of an adventure game) Earthbound etc. After that then RPGs just became one of my favorite genres.

Just beat the CPU boss. Unless you know exactly what to do, it's an annoying boss fight. I also forgot to save at the boss fight just before that so I restarted and had to do both boss fights again. I'm nearing the final hours of this lovely game.

@Tasuki so far, it's the only one that's caused me an issue. It's easy once you know what to do( which I had to look up eventually).

Exp x2 has been a godsend btw.

@Tasuki I didn't. I stumbled on one but realized I couldn't do it bc I didn't get a different one prior.

@Tasuki I have all the story line summons, but not optional. I'll look up a few and gather them. Any specific ones I should look to get?

The main ones you want are Asura, Leviathan and Bahamut. Of course if you are a completionist you are going to want all of them. However like Odin for example isn't a must have since there's only a small chance of his summon working.

There’s a few enemies that very rarely drop themselves as summons after battle. I think one of them is the goblins.

Also there’s a secret summon in the underground, the Sylph.

Bloop.

@Eel Goblins, Cocktrice, Bomb and Mind Flayer are the ones you can get from enemies. Sylph is a good one too especially for healing.

Getting my rear kicked against the final boss. Not sure why it's so tough. I've grinded enough to get everyone over level 70, I have all the summons, pretty sure all the best armor and weapons. I've looked up multiple strategies and none work. I've been at it for hours, and it's quite frustrating. Any suggestions @Tasuki?

@NintendoByNature With Cecil you are going to straight up attack with him. Kain can Jump while Rosa needs to stay on heals. Edge it's best at throwing so any throw weapons you have use them particularly the weapon you got from Yang's wife. Rydia should be using Flare nothing more. Summons take to long however when you use flare be ready to heal with Rosa particularly Curaja as he will counter it with his own flare. Don't worry about buffs like haste and such as Zeromus will remove them so in general it's a waste of MP and a move. Big Bang is the worst attack but as long as Rosa heals you should be fine.
