Until I got a Switch it used to be Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask for many years (both are equally great). But now it's Breath of the Wild. All the other 3D Zeldas are good (except Skyward Sword...), but also have major flaws, like the dungeons in Wind Waker or the lack of side quests in Twilight Princess.
Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess. Twilight Princess is the best Zelda game to play, but Majora's Mask is the best Zelda from a story perspective easily. I like them both exactly the same but I'd probably choose Majora's Mask if I absolutely had to choose one, just because its weird and more unique.
It will always be Link to the Past as it is a masterpiece and a joy to play even today (followed by ocarina, Twilight princess and wind waker in that order)
LBW > LttP > LA Remake would be my top three, in that order.
I've never been a fan of the 3D Zelda games.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,251 games (as of April 24th, 2024)

I have what I think are very unpopular opinions. Zelda is my favorite video game series. I have played and beaten every game in the series. My favorite video game period, not just Zelda game, is the original Legend of Zelda on NES. And while yes, I did grow up on it, it is not all just nostalgia because my second favorite Zelda is Skyward Sword. The only caveat is that I don't feel like I can give Breath of the Wild a fair rating because while I have played and beaten it, I only got like 2 of the memories and so missed a large majority of the story. I want to play it again at some point and do more, and then maybe it could break into the top of the list.
Didn't we have a thread like this not too long ago? Either way, botw, ALBW, LA, and OoT I just love them too much to have one claim the top spot. Played them all countless times. That's not to discredit the rest. They're all good, even Zelda II. I just like some more than others 😊

Zelda is apparently exempt from forum rules. Start a second topic about a spinoff game where the main game was last talked about 6 years ago and they will lock you and point you to that 6 year old thread, but you can make as many different Zelda ones as you want
1. A Link Between Worlds (I can literally replay that game over and over.)
2. Majora's Mask. (Main reason behind this is because of the game's bizarre and eerie tone, as well as the cool mask mechanics.)
3. Twilight Princess. (Mostly for the story itself.)
4. BOTW. Botw is last on the list of favorites, since while it's a good game, I don't like it as much as the other Zelda games. The dungeons aren't really that great, and the enemy variety is lacking. Other than that, my only other issue with the game is the fact that the story itself has no real weight, as it already happened, so I wasn't as invested in it as with other Zelda games. I know that there has to be some way to make an open world Zelda, with a story taking place currently within the world itself.

I'll just rank them all from my favourite to least favourite, and separate them based on tiers. The order of the games within the tiers might change over time, but I'm pretty solid on what games are in the tiers themselves. That said I don't dislike any of these games.
Tier 1 (Some of my favourite games of all time)
1. Wind Waker
2. Breath of the Wild
3. Majora's Mask
4. A Link Between Worlds
Tier 2 (Absolutely phenomenal games)
5. Skyward Sword
6. Twilight Princess
7. Oracle of Ages
8. Oracle of Seasons
9. Ocarina of Time
10. Link's Awakening
11. Minish Cap
12. A Link to the Past
I'll just list my stand-out favorite games in the series.
1) Breath of the Wild
2) Majora's Mask 3D
3) A Link Between Worlds
4) The Wind Waker HD
I love all four of those games. They're incredible.
Others are good. ALttP and OoT3D are both really solid games. I enjoyed the Oracle games as well. But the four games up top define the franchise for me.
Although, admittedly, I still need to play Skyward Sword.
For me my favourite Zelda isn't a consistent, in part because I have over/replayed the games too many times now so little details of the games overtake my impression of the game itself. Like sometimes I really like the sailing in WW which is a really cool moment I remember and other times I remember how boring looking for shards were. That applies to all of the Zelda games for me where I flip flop on my feelings towards them.
I'd probably list 'em like right now;
Breath of the Wild
Ocarina of Time
Majora's Mask
Link's Awakening
A Link to the Past
The Wind Waker
Twilight Princess
The Minish Cap
Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages
Skyward Sword
A Link Between Worlds
Spirit Tracks
Phantom Hourglass
Four Swords Adventures
The Legend of Zelda
The Adventure of Link
Tri Force Heroes (probably the only Zelda game I hate!)
@Anti-Matter Toad is pointing out how you're coming off as a about a misspelled word rather than the LOLs of how funny it is.
