Honorable mentions to BotW, Three Houses, and the original Xeno, but I still have to go with Xenoblade 2. Yes it is a VERY deeply flawed game but what it gets right it gets SO right that it’s impossible not to forgive it.

The environments are beautiful and of an impressive scale (LOVE Uraya and Letheria so much), the music is so, so good, and the story gets really good when you give it some time. Like, you read up on some of the lore and play Torna and everything starts to come together for the story in a way that’s actually surprisingly emotional and even poetic. Controversial opinion here, but I even LOVED the gacha system. Never knowing if the Core Crystal you are going the open could be a sick new, fully voiced BLADE with its own personality and quest was always so exciting! And the gacha system itself was easy enough to exploit that it never felt unfair or tedious.

Currently, it’s the only game on my Switch I’ve truly 100%-ed including DLC (It took about 430 hours). The only extra thing I have left to do is to beat all the Challenges on Bringer of Chaos. But for a period of six months it was my complete obsession once it clicked.

@Shambo Hello hello! There is no need to apologize; I figured that you might be busy with that thing we call "life". If you would like to drop me a line at some point, my E-mail address is the same as my username here (at Google's-popular-mail-service dot com). Don't feel pressured to reply quickly; I won't take offense if I don't hear from you soon or even for a long while, I promise. I welcome your civilized conversation, be it tomorrow or whenever, about games or wolves or aggravating humans. "Beter laat dan nooit" (if I got that right...)

Please take care of yourself and the dogs.

My favourite goes ot the first Switch game I ever played . . . I bought BotW on release day but it didn't get first play.

Blaster Master Zero

Why?
It's a great 2D platforming game with just enough searching out for new items and a great soundtrack. It's a great nod to the original NES game and adds in save points instead of lives so you can't permanently game over back to the title screen which is a great addition and makes the game somewhat easier. That's fine as the game is not meant to be super hard, just really fun.

Pretty much my best personal favorite Switch game is Final Fantasy XII because it was and still is my very first Switch game that i bought from Walmart last year. That and it was my first time playing Final Fantasy XII since I never had a playstation 2 back in the day.

also Zelda Breath of the Wild another favorite even though I just started playing it in the very beginning of the game. Never had a Wii or Wii U and Breath of the Wild is a former Wii/U game which im glad got released for the Nintendo Switch so i can play it and experience
