Can anybody who played this let me know how it stacks up to Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma?

Seems like roughly the same sort of cozy/combat gameplay loop. Art style is obviously way different.

Had a blast with Azuma and was thinking of maybe importing a physical of this one for Switch 2.

I left a reply in the other thread, but basically the two feel very different. Rune Factory is very segmented with adventure/combat and farming, while Fantasy Life i is more gameplay focused with various jobs and an addictive loop where you're always leveling up- combat is more simple but really fun.

I think you'd like it. Fantasy Life i is definitely the more addictive game of the two.

Started playing this again, and can't seem to put it down now. Had a separate save file on Switch Lite OLED, but playing on NS2 in what seems to be 4k 60fps (at least 1440p) is a noticeable step up. Could be the art style too, as games like this do appear much sharper than they are at times.

But ya, this game is 🔥 and it has an on-cart release from Asia, in English.
