@Lalivero @Ralizah That's exactly how my copy of Doom is going Down. With tax it will be almost exactly $35. I almost have another $5 off but I can use that on Skyrim or L.A.

So you can play the game from the cartridge right from the start and NOT download the MP ever?

Anybody else see a little Metroid Prime in this game? This just makes me that much more excited for what Prime 4 is going to look like. Of course it will look even better knowing Nintendo.

The MP obtained via software update.

Like any Switch game, software updates can be ignored. When you start the game, you'll be given the choice of updating or just starting the software. Might be a small annoyance but, it's totally playable as is and you never have to update it you don't want to.

Does anyone know if there's a day 1 patch and its size?

@rewindxrepeat I don't think you can dl the patch without dl'ing the multiplayer so if you do need to patch it most likely you will have a file over 10gigs.

Not true, once you get to the title screen it wont let you play until the update is done.

@jump You have the game and tried or there is official information?

@jump Nice! It was reported it was 9. That puts it at a much more reasonable size....maybe I'll even try out some multi! Wasn't planning on it at first.

@jump That would be me. The colour blind one. Getting crap because I cant see the game because I have faulty genetics and as a result I have missing cones in my eyes.

Something I /totally/ asked for by the way. The amount of games I cant play is staggering.

I didn't order until the end of October. Just checked my order page on Amazon and it shows expected delivery of the 14th. Super bummed about that. Wishing I had ordered as far back as you did. Would be great to have for my trip this weekend.

@jump Hey, look at this. It's a genuine issue. One people in the media and making these videos can easily fix by going into options and changing the mode for 10 minutes of footage.

I have DOOM on PS4. I have to use those modes, otherwise I cant play. Id love to see how it runs on Switch and make an informed purchase decision, but until then, tough s*** I cant.

Is this a concept that is alien to you? I know people online like to pretend disabilities don't exist, but come on now.

There are things people could do over a brief period of time to help me make that decision.

Why wouldn't I be complaining? It's a simple fix. It's all that needs to be done man. And this doesn't just affect me. It affects many many people, some don't even know it!

I would really like to see how this game looks before I put down £50 for it, and I cant, even though the tools for people to do so are literally in their hands!

And you don't buy games blindly.
