Amazing achievement for this little console and most important the devs deserve some applause for making this so good on this hardware.

From that video I really do think the Switch is closer to the Xbox One then I originally thought. At least in graphic quality.

I was planning on nabbing Tiny Metal, SteamWorld Dig 2, and Hollow Knight with my eshop credit, but now I'm seriously considering just downloading this instead...

I don't know. It's great that the game is running on the Switch but the price should definitely reflect that it's a year old. It's less than half the price on other platforms now. And from all the videos I've seen, besides the halving of the frame rate the game looks so blurry on Switch. Should they have called it Doom: Vaseline Switch?

@MegaTen I've seen some PSTVs being sold for ridiculously cheap prices at big box stores like Walmart. Never tempted me, though: I can't imagine something like Persona 4 Golden would look nearly as sharp blown up on a big screen.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE The price is fine. It's new on the Switch, it's fully portable, and a significant amount of work has been put into optimizing this for the platform.

@BLP_Software have you watched any of the other videos posted? Showing game play.

Gosh DANG this game looks exceptional on Switch. Holy moly. It's practically the Xbox One game running on a handheld.

@Hyrule This aint a case of haters gonna hate.

It's a case of someone should please show footage in a colour blind mode, because when viewing or playing this game without that activated, I cant make out geometry, enemies, or objects, because I see only a couple shades of red!

@Ralizah @SLIGEACH_EIRE I'll get it for about half off myself anyways. With Best Buy's gamer club discount (20% off) + $10 certificate for preordering Mario Odyssey + buying that same game pushed me over the BB point bracket for a $5 certificate, I'll be getting DOOM for ~ $33 anyways. 😜
