I am interested. Never actually played any diablo game but i used to play a lot of titan quest as a kid so i guess i may enjoy it. And i do trust blizzard and their games, since i got my switch, the only game i play on my pc from time to time is heroes of the storm.
I will probably buy it around december no matter when they decide to release it as there is already bunch of titles coming earlier that i want to get.
This game kind of looks like that runescape game my brother plays.
So what kind of RPG is that?
Doesn't look fun at all to me from the video I just watched.
It falls into the category of "action RPG" or "hack and slash RPG", which some gamers (like me) insist really don't qualify as RPGs because you don't make any choices that affect the story. You kill things to collect loot to make yourself better at killing things so you can collect more loot, and so on. Sounds simple, and it is, but the formula works, and I find it very fun and addictive.
EDIT: Watching the trailer, one thing I didn't see was them using a single joy con for a controller. So for local multiplayer you'll need multiple sets of them?
Interface images on the eshop show "ZL" and "ZR" indicators, which are the labels used for the shoulder buttons when the Joy-Cons are held horizontally, suggesting that you can play with a single Joy-Con.
I hope they allow transfers from.the other versions of Diablo III. I have characters on the PS4 version with like 600 paragon points that I wouldn't mind transferring over.

It's been mentioned elsewhere but no cross-platform play, no syncing with Diablo 3 accounts on other systems, online play will be exclusively through Nintendo's subscription service.
Between Ys VIII, MHGU, and Diablo III, 2018 has been an awesome year for arpg fans.

@FaeKnight@Mountain_Man I thought I thought the shoulder buttons with single joycon play were labelled sl and sr? Zl and zr refer to the big shoulder buttons right?
According to Blizzard, they took only 9 months to port the game to the Switch.
That's not really surprising when you consider that the game was designed from the start to be multiplatform (one of the reasons I'm still a bit annoyed that they never made a Linux port) They probably had it up and running on the Switch in a week and then spent the rest of the development time on creating Switch-specific features, bug squashing, and optimization.
Nintendo support could not tell me about the size of the game. They told me to contact the developer in order to find if the whole game will be on the cartridge.

Yeah, even the eShop info doesn't disclose the file size.
What's your concern with the file size? Are you worried that Blizzard is going to stealthily require a download for the physical version? Or are you unsure if you need to upgrade your sd card or not? The eShop info does have a disclaimer that the game may require additional storage if you purchase it digitally, so it'll probably be a download in the 8GB-15GB range.

There will likely be a download needed, even if the full game is on the cart. After all, if there's any patches after the finalized carts are being produced that's a download.
