Considering it specifically uses the word "seasons" for subsequent entries in the series, it seems likely that, after Danganronpa 3, the series permanently shifted away from games. Anime also generally tend to release in seasons.
But no, again, this ending has no implications for the endings of the other games. They're not in the same continuity. The Hope's Peak arc is its own thing, apart from V3, and this is explicitly spelled out multiple times in the final trial.
It's fine to not like the ending. A lot of people don't, and that's a valid perspective to hold. I'm simply dispelling misconceptions about what it entails.
I hope Rain Code is good. It seems to have had a lot of love and effort poured into it. I can't say I don't have my doubts, but I'll be there on day one.
