Can you download games you've bought through the nintendo eshop onto your Switch? For instance I bought Shovel Knight on my 3ds, can I somehow download it from the shop?
No, you cannot. Unless the developer/publisher announces a "cross-buy" scheme (which is very rare), it just isn't going to happen. With the Switch functioning as both a handheld and home console, I very much doubt that any publisher in their right mind would incorporate any kind of "cross-buy" scheme.
