Topic: Call of Cthulhu Game breaking bug!

So I've been playing through Call Of Cthulu and have hit a problem.
On chapter 5 where you have to escape the asylum, I'm right at the end. You have a conversation with a guy who has been experimented on and he gets possessed and starts flying around the room.
At the point the game crashes and closes every time.
You can't go back to an earlier save as it's autosave, I've re-downloaded it and get the same.
I update to firmware 10 today, not sure if that's relevant or not here.
Anyone else have this and how do you request a refund, unlikely as I would be to get it?

Is this the eShop version? If so you need to contact the developer of the problem to get fixed.

I've recently picked this back up again too, I know the scene you're on about but I had no crash on mine. I'm on to chapter 6 now. This was a couple of weeks back now so pre-10 firmware upgrade. I'm playing physical version.

I have this same problem, in chapter 5 too, but for nintendo switch physical version, and just a little before, in the very moment i pull the lever in the asylum for getting the chair full with electricity, the game instantly crashes. Any updates from this? Is pretty awful that a nintendo oficial game is this bad ported, that you couldnt even finish it.

That's weird. I just played through that section about a week and a half ago, physical copy, with no problems at all... I hope you guys get it figured out.

I hit that exact same bug today. I wrote to the dev. I'm awaiting their answer.

@cameintosay I wrote everyone I found remotely plausible, focus home interactive, cyanide studios, and one more, don't remember the third, no response so far

having the same issue at the ending of chapter five. do you have the physical copy or download content?

No news about this, right? I want to finish the game before i give up and forget it forever, but the devs doesn't seem like caring at all...

I have the same issue... Tried to pass this bug through with another Switch, but still the same bug with this other device....

Hi, I finally got help from the devs. They said the following:

Hi! Thank you for your patience!

There is a cheat code wich can skip the end of the level:

• In chapter 5, once you reach the Main Objective "Escape from the Asylum"
• Press following keys: L + R + Up + A
• It will load the Next level.

@indi51 i tried and in my case didn't work. Maybe it's because my save state is when I have everything set up already to escape?
Even tho my objective is "escape from the asylum", I have too a secondary objective that is "create a diversion" so I suppose I am a step ahead and in that point no longer works. Thanks anyways.

@Eacida In my case it worked when i was able to create the diversion for the guards and was able to be right in front of the door where the cutscene starts. So you have to first create the diversion and then press the cheat code

@indi51 if i have to create the diversion first, then i can no longer input the cheat, since my game crashes in the very moment i pull the lever to electrify the chair

@Eacida did u try the gas lever optional diversion?

@indi51 yes, I've tried that too but there is one gas pipe that doesn't warn about high pressure, even after inserting the valve and turning it on, nothing works for my saves rate apparently
