@BruceCM I quite enjoyed the game myself. I did play the other two. I remember after finishing them, I didn't want to do a second playthrough. This one I did hoping to be able to change the story a bit during a certain event, but yeah, can't do that. I might replay bd1 or bravely second sometime, but I wish I could play them on my TV instead of a little 3ds. We need a 3ds adapter or something to play 3ds and ds games on the switch like they did back in the day with the gameboy and super nintendo.
@hirokun I believe Claytechworks is the team that made the two Japanese exclusive Bravely Default mobile games, but I could be wrong. I also know Team Asano worked on the game as well, and they made Octopath.

@komodo182 Just unlocked Bravebearer and can now see what you mean. Glad to have it, since I don't feel like grinding after having the party in level 70 when I got the job. Now I'm level 74 after trying the job against the Big Wiki Wikis of the ice cavern.

@Diddy64 Honestly, you don't even really need to grind that much. Mainly because you can truthfully beat the Final boss at level 65. It's more of a challenge to actually do so as well, since the boss is a massive pushover if you level up too much.

@komodo182 Not really. Maybe for someone who probably knows the game better, but I genuinely struggled with it. I beat it on my first try, but only because I had Bravebearer. Even then, my MP kept getting drained every time I defaulted, and I kept losing BP every time I tried to heal with items.

@VoidofLightJust like Sir Sloan, the Night Nexus can be paralyzed with the combination of Phantom (Main) and Hunter (sub). I haven't fight it in chapter 7 yet, but I checked it in a guide and it is vulnerable to that in both Chapter 6 and 7, including its arms (don't know if the arms retain that weakness in Chapter 7 though).
This will come in handy when you want to do second playthrough.

@komodo182 Thankfully is an option, which I'll gladly use after having struggled against Edna. I think that boss fight is even harder than the final boss.

@VoidofLight I was overleveled, so that would do it. 4 bravebearers with sub spiritmasters. So pretty much unlimited bp, mp and healing haha. Each character does 30,000 damage to each target per turn.
@VoidofLight I can definitely imagine it being difficult without knowing that, and also not knowing that the Night Nexus can cause instant death against one character. I will try not to use guide against the first five (or four) of the Hall of Tribulations, but may use a guide against the last two if I can't beat them with the Bravebearer job, plus sub jobs.
I was actually worried that I wouldn't be able to defeat the final boss without grinding, since all the other monsters in the dungeon were glowing red.

@komodo182 Good to know I'll have no issues with those battles.
@VoidofLight It seems those monsters are for the postgame or for those who want to get everything before fighting the final battle of the main story. Though if one saves, it will start New Game+.

I keep thinking about how (Spoilers for entire game) they never explain Edna's backstory on why she hates humans, and never actually explain why Seth died. The Wind crystal tells him that his thread had been cut short by someone, but they don't actually tell you who did it. Edna couldn't have done it, since she never even showed signs of knowing who he even was, and the Nexus couldn't have done it either, since it was locked up in the crystals.

So I feel dumb I finally realized there was a chapter 6. So I'll be continuing to play. Still, I'm very annoyed at the game's overall gameplay.
How do people feel about the action bar style combat instead of turn based? It makes the speed stat on paper more valuable, however it makes doing certain theory crafting break as you can't exactly manipulate things with all 4 characters in a satisfactory way all the time. However I found an interesting tactical note- swordman class, fluid stance abilities continue to be active until their own next turn comes around. So it is a good combo to put with a tank build that is extremely slow because those stances will stay active. And the more times you get hit with the one stance that gives you BP, you can more easily stack your BP to max so that you can keep the cycle going. Then you can use the extra BP to use other tank abilities constantly too. Maybe not a super efficient build though, but I've been using it to good effect. I didn't really feel good cheesing with paralyze so this build was fun to use.
