I just finished Chapter 3, and went on to chapter 4. Things seem to be getting intense, and it feels like the game's about to reach it's end or something. I don't know for sure however.

@VoidofLight The last job of Chapter 3 is one with a second specialty that could help or not. It basically changes your weapons aptitudes (and stats) to the sub job selected. So you should be careful because once you max the job, you can't undo that specialty. At least so far.
@VoidofLight Oh! And if you used examine/magnifying glass the first time you encountered Adam, you can see his weaknesses in the monster lore. Haven't fight him yet, but I am very close fight him if I'm not mistaken.

Also, can I just say that (Chapter 4 spoilers) The new battle theme that starts around after chapter 4 is just absolute perfection in terms of how the song sounds, as well as the fact that it's symbolism? The song itself is more proud in general, due to the fact that it represents how these four people who were random nobodies became the next generation of the heroes of light. The music starts getting more intense, since they're no longer just four people with common goals on a mission to collect the crystals, but now they're proper heroes, all with the crystal's blessings.
@VoidofLight Perhaps a bit late to say this if you cleared Chapter 4, but my, the Oracle job is very useful against Adam. If I didn't have at least one with that job, he could have defeat my team even with the equipment I gave them 😅

@Diddy64 You're not too late! In fact, I got stuck on the Lonsdale fight. The guy has so much health honestly, and counters whenever you default. He also hits really hard. I heard the damage he does is mostly due to his defense, so if I can get that down, he'd be a bit easier to take down. My team right now is Elvis with a Level 12 Red mage and Level 12 Black mage asterisk, Gloria with a level 7 spiritmaster and level 12 White mage, Adelle is a level 6 Dragoon and a Level 12 Thief, and Seth is a level 7 swordmaster and a level 11 vanguard.
My entire team is like level 38 right now as well.

@VoidofLight Oh! What I used fighting Lonsdale was Elvis with Beastmaster (main) and Freelancer (sub) because the Square One ability is helpful against him. Also the Caits of the Vigintio dungeon have the Doomsday spell which helps since he is weak against dark. Speaking of dark, if you obtained the Arcanist job from him and combine it with the Oracle, you can deal a lot of damage to him with the dark spells. I also used the Adele with Hunter job (main) and Berserk job (sub) but with the ability to transfer the first sub job Specialty from the Spiritmaster job obtained in job level 9 or 10. For Seth I used the Asterisk (main) from going to Savalon and the Thief (sub). All of them at job level 12 exempt the Hunter job which at the time was at level 9 or 10.
Now that I see your level. I'm worried that you choose Halcynia before all the other areas, as that one has more stronger enemies and the boss is a bit stronger than the other two.

You see, according to a guide I looked, it's better to choose Halcyonia at level 48 at least.

@Diddy64 I think I might be able to go back as long as I don’t go through with the plan to distract the guards.. however they might not let me leave the city, I don’t know for sure. I probably should’ve asked for the best order to take these bosses on..

@VoidofLight Another thing I should mention is that Lonsdale is unaffected by light spells, which makes the Spiritmaster job only useful for reviving the party with Reraise. Black Mage (main) with Spiritmaster (sub) would be more useful as the second ability of Black Mage can bypass element immunity or absorption, but never bypass halving. Another more good combination would Thief (main) because he can steal one strengthening effect like attack up or defense up. I even steal the reprisal ability from Galahad, which makes one lose 50% of the damage you do. Combine it with Dragoon or Hunter to have a job that can steal effects and attack with decent damage at the same time.
You can also use passive ability obtained from the Spiritmaster to put Dragoon as a main and Thief as sub to have the steal strengthening ability, while also having a decent speed, defense and strong attacks from the Dragoon. It may be best this way because the Thief job has a low defense stat.

If you get out of town, go to the forest that has the pink bushes and the undead souls because those give more job points. Use the the ghoulish food obtained from those undead souls. With the sub job up and sub job up and up abilities, you may earn decent job points.

Rolled the credits last night. The final boss was challenging but in the end I managed to beat it first try without changing jobs around for a more suitable team.
I did not play the other 2 but I actually enjoy it more than I was expecting. My favourite part is the interaction between main characters on the side quests.
But I am looking forward to the post credits story as it looks promissing so far.
