@shining_nexus ah, then I'll probably just skip it for now. I'm having trouble figuring out if I really want to switch out my jobs for my characters or not, since I really like how my team is composed so far.
"It is fate. Many have tried, yet none have ever managed to escape it's flow."
Well, you can always get the asterisk & not use the job .... I didn't use every job I had, even between all the characters! There's plenty of them & for general purposes, put your favourite in as a sub-job while they learn something else Can always swap back to a mastered job for a boss when needed, as well

This is what I do and I raise certain stats with gear that suits their sub job. For example, I wanted Seth to learn White magic but wanted to keep him as a physical damage dealer so I gave him Monk as a sub job for high damage output abilities. White Mage happens to be proficient in lances, so I gave him a high damage lance, a shield to help with defense since he will be wearing lighter armor due to the weight limit, and some damage boost accessories. This brought his attack up decently and became a combat White Mage .
Well, what I basically did was have 2 people going for the melee jobs & 2 going for the magic side .... with some mixing of that! Once someone has mastered a job, they might as well be learning something else Never even started using some jobs, though! It'd take a long time to master them all, let alone everyone doing so
the tactic that works for me is to spam body slam with 3 characters and have Gloria as the healer, once I unlocked the ability to remove BP cost on sub job it gets OP as I can easily due 20k damage in one turn. The only thing you need to be carefull is that the move fails a lot if your aim is low and I aim to allways have 250+
(CHAPTER 2 SPOILERS) Yes, the Petunias banishra magic helped me a lot. Especially against Galahad. What I do with some of my most used beast, is to leave one so that I can see its ability each time I check in battle. And I agree about the ending of Folie. I too suspect that she could have survived.
