Well after about a twenty min hold I finally got a working code for Bayonetta and I'm already nearing the end of the game so maybe I'll start 2 before the end of tonight. Great game so far!
Called Nintendo today and got a replacement code after about 5 minutes. The Customer Support guy was funny; he started out joking by saying "What are you talking about? There's no problems with the download codes. We're lonely, we just wanted people to call us."
Bayonetta 2 placed at #3 and at #5 in the UK Individual and All Formats Charts respectively. I guarantee I won't have to send reminders on Wednesday that the site still hasn't posted the charts. That's a great debut. There's a few things to take into consideration though. It was the only notable new entry besides Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Also, FIFA 18 prevented it from debuting one place higher because the game is on sale at less than half price.

Haha, now that's customer support.
They have always been super friendly and helpful when I needed to call them when something went wrong.
Contrary to Microsoft...
When I first signed up for Live (which was free for a couple of months) on the original Xbox and wanted to cancel my subscription so that they wouldn't charge me afterwards, I got a whole other response.
Something to the liking of "Are our games not good enough for you or what?"
I was like, eum, well I didn't really enjoy my online sessions, no.
To which I got a "What are you talking about! We got Halo 2, don't we? What more could you want!?"
And quite a bit more abuse like that.
In the end, I started getting miffed a bit myself and replied something like, well if you guys had something as fun as Mario Kart to play online, then perhaps it would be worth paying for. Right now, it's not.
I just don't understand why companies would have people be so rude to a customer and think that's the way to get them to stick around. lol

Both the SKU's of Bayonetta 2 have had a poor debut in Japan.
13. [NSW] Bayonetta Non-Stop Climax Edition – 11,694 / NEW
14. [NSW] Bayonetta 2 – 9,532 / NEW
I suppose you can say it's ~21,000 combined. That's still not great. According to 4Gamer, the Wii U exclusive sold 38,828 units in its first week on sale in Japan, nearly double that of on Switch.
I can understand how Bayonetta has remained pretty much a niche purchase. It's definitely not for everyone. I don't mind the action. It's solid and tight, but I don't really like the enemies. It's hard to guess which part of some of these creatures is going to attack you!
What I don't really get is when people go on about what an awesome character Bayonetta is. Every character in these games is awful. Poorly written, badly acted, and hellishly weird on the eyes.

I mean if you take it remotely seriously, sure. But the point of Bayonetta is to be a ridiculously confident bad*** in a world of...ridiculous.
(note: I am just going by what other people have said about it, I think Metal Gear Rising and Wonderful 101 are better stories even in the context of being comedic and/or ironic)
@kkslider5552000 I get that. But if you're going for that it should be funnier, and less cringy. Hey, I like the game, and I think it's an amazing spectacle on the Switch, but for an over confident sassy heroine who actually makes you laugh, even Rabbid Peach has it over Bayonetta.
My only complaint about Bayonetta is how ridiculous enemies look like. Graphics are nice but I can’t stand design. That’s one of the reasons why I didn’t get it for Switch.
I can’t even force myself to play it again on Wii U because those ugly poopers ...Watch it....-Joey
@Joeynator3000
It’s not like I was insulting someone and we are all grown people here.. but ok.. no profanity, I understand.. let them be poopers 😁
But they still deserve to be called bad names because their fugliness
Finally made time to get through hard mode and go back and get all the collectibles in 2. Now I’m on Inf. Climax, and I have no idea how I was ever any good at this.
Also I like Tag Climax but I hate the people who play it. Half the time I get stuck with someone who doesn’t know their limits, and chooses a boss fight and ups the difficulty to max. I don’t claim to be good, but at least I know what is and isn’t possible.
Currently procrastinating on: implementing virtual memory and synchronization.
Currently distracted with: Mario Tennis Aces
Whereas I'm hardly stocking my cupboard with gold and platinum chapter trophies, the game hasn't actually kicked my butt to the game over screen....until now.
This bloody boss in chapter 11 hit me with an attack that turned Bayonetta into a defenceless little girl, and then proceeded to kill her.
@Arcamenel Bayonetta 1 first. Bayonetta 2 is better, but going from Bayonetta 1 to 2 will really make you appreciate all the tweaks Bayonetta 2 made to the gameplay.
Metroid, Xenoblade, EarthBound shill
I run a YouTube/Twitch channel for fun. Check me out if you want to!
Please let me know before you send me a FC request, thanks.
