The Grand Prix music is apparently sung by Ribbon Girl, and is an incredible variant on a song we've heard before. I think the music is my favorite part of this game.
@Nintendoer I guess it's better than nothing, if that's the case...
I'm hoping they implement more outfits as DLC. I think rather than just introducing new fighters it'd be a great idea to implement more customise options for the current roster.
Another 2 and a half hours till I finish work, ugh!
This day is going by sooo slowly.....Arms is sitting there waiting for me.....I want to plaaaay!
@Frosty_09 That's awesome! Fighting game devs are TERRIFYING behind the controls. I zoned out for the Arms invitational and caught up restreaming stuff I missed the rest of the day. I didn't know Yabuki-san fought at the end. Did you catch Hoshino-san from Bamco fighting the end of the Pokken Tournament Invitational? If you want to see a whole other level, it's that. He clearly threw a round just to give the other guy a bone (he barely attacked), and then the final round just to build up tension let his own health get down under 20% and then just let loose with an unstoppable stream of relentless attacks for like a 12 second KO against his opponents nearly full gauge. The guys been doing Calibur/(some)Tekken since before the contestants were born, and is shows... To give it an extra dose of awesome, he looks like a young Iwata.
I was surprised to find this waiting for me when I got home yesterday so I immediately threw it on. I was initially going to pass on this one but recent gameplay videos changed my mind. It felt awesome to get that first win after the first couple failed rounds.
really happy mine was delivered about an hour ago...At work until 3 but will be able to bring it with me down the shore this weekend to play, can't wait!
Hedlok is more annoying than fun, instead of the boss being a challenging thing, he still has to be somewhat able to be beaten in Grand Prix mode. I'm really frustrated with arms right now
@Frosty_09 Haha, yeah. I think Hoshino-san is the more interesting one to watch between the two. Yabuki-san is incredibly good at ARMS, but it's a new game that hasn't developed technicality too far yet, and his background is in Kart. You can see he does an insane win and doesn't give a chance to counter, but he's still going at it from the start and takes some time. Incredible yes, AMAZING to watch, yes. But what Hoshino-san does is incredible. He pretty much throws the match and puts himself a hit or two away from doom and then just devastates his opponent from full to KO in mere seconds The extreme confidence in knowing that when he's going full skill nobody stands a chance even while he's on the ropes is just amazing.
But, of course, he's been in charge of Soul Calibur for a long looong time, and I believe assisted Hino on Tekken 7 while doing Pokken together. He's probably one of the top fighting game experts in the world I'm not an eSports fan specifically but I could watch that any day
@Frosty_09 haha, good points! The players were improving by the end of the testifires a lot...
Not as grabby..... But yeah Yabuki's advice to NOT jump was eye opening. Ribbon abd ninja get a lot less appealing with that in mind.
Holy cow.....the single player AI is BRUTAL! During test punch i was always seconds best in my lobby at least. The lv4 GP AI is utterly and relentlessly destroying me. Lv3 i can beat after much toil and tears. My hands feel like jello.
I don't want to know what 7 is like, but i feel unworthy to play online at all. This thing makes SFII look like a Lego game. I can beat the highest difficulty on that increasingly regularly.
Ugh, of course when I get this game, the house is in chaos and I can't concentrate. TwT
And yeah, I thought level 3 would be fine for me...couldn't even win once. >.>
@Joeynator3000 you missed test punch, right? Yeah it takes a good 7+ hours to even get to lv3 good apparently....i can do lv3 pretty well after tons of improvement in test punch..... But holy heck lv4 is another world.
I love how Yabuki-sans response to "how do you take on hedlock solo" was "good luck...."
