The motion-controlled fighting game. Looks like a combination Punch-Out!! and Project Giant Robot.

This seriously looks redonkulously fun.

I've been wanting a game like this since 2006. Mixing motion controls with actual depth. If only you didn't MOVE with motion controls...

Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F

Honestly. It looks really fun, imo.

Darn game looks amazing and fun, in my honest opinion. Looking forward to hearing more about the game.
Not sure it was the kind of new IP I was looking for, though...

This looks more fun to me than a lot of Nintendo games even, tbh. Even good ones.

It looks like something I might seriously love. Unfortunately, I feel like by the time I get a Switch, the game will be forgotten.

It definitely has an ''Overwatch'' vibe going on, not sure how else I should describe it.

This looks promising, my only worry is how accurate the controllers are as memories of Samba De Amigo on the Wii pop in to my head and how the bloody controls never picked up my movements right.

It's a new controller, so it's possible they got some better tech in there. The Wii had pretty terrible acceleratometers by today's standards

I for one welcome this new Gum-Gum/Luffy simulator.

Was thinking about the same thing.

I'm literally only here to agree that Samba De Amigo Wii was ****ing awful. One of the most disappointing purchases I ever made.

I dig the music, but more than anything I love that Nintendo's marketing game seems to be back to Wii levels. Even if the conference was very bad toward the end, the normies aren't going to see that. They'll just see the TV ads. This bodes well.

Don't hate me because I'm bnahabulous.

I've seen people saying that ARMS is a silly title, but I think it's an improvement on the working title of "Please Remember Wii Sports We Beg You".

In all seriousness though, is this motion control only? So can't really be played "on the go"?

You do realize you can put your Switch on a stand and "slide off" these joycons right? It's kind of a big part of the whole selling point. But I know what you mean, it won't be as portable as some other games.

@Haywired You can still detach the Joy-Cons in handheld more, but it won't be possible to play this game while walking for example, unless someone else is holding the Switch itself..

Haywired

Yeah, literally it can be played on the go, but like on the bus or waiting on a train platform or whatever, I guess there's no "play without appearing like insane punching man who's making everyone uncomfortable" option?
