Topic: Are you playing Yu-Gi-Oh master duel?

As title asks are you playing it and what do you think of it?

I like it and I enjoy playing it. The free to play aspect of the game is well done and you don't have to pay anything to be seni-competitive .

Might look into it after playing more of Legacy...I do want to ask, though...

Does this ever annoy the crap out of you with your Trap cards? Because holy crap Legacy constantly asks if I want to activate a lot of them. >.<

But yeah, gonna focus on Legacy for now, I've only experienced (via the physical cards and playing those) like, I dunno...the first generation or so of the mechanics? So I know absolutely nothing about all these Link, XYZ, and Synchro monsters...and apparently I found some monsters involving Cubics or something...? lol

@AppleroseGrace If you have PS+ and a PS4 you can get 50 Legacy Booster Packs and then transfer your profile with the acquired cards to the Switch version if you want a bit of a head start. 😉

Is there any CPU/AI battles? Is there Cross-Progression/Save?

@SViper Yes, not many ATM though, but there will be a lot of new cards, a load of new single player content, and possibly new modes added in the future. 😉

@Joeynator3000 yes, master duel does allow you to disable the constant 'do you want to activate whatever card' prompts that can occur every 5 seconds in legacy of the duelist.

...Wait, you can do it in both games or just Master? o.o lol

@TowaHerschel7 that doesn't answer my second question if it has Cross-Progression/Save.
Plus at January 20th I already downloaded, but not yet played, so I plan to play as long lasting Yu-Gi-Oh! fan.

@Joeynator3000 master duel allows you to disable card activation messages. I do not think legacy allows you to disable card activation prompts.

Well, I'm downloading it, since it has tutorials on the new stuff. Legacy is just bugging me with the constant Trap card prompts...and the crashes. I'll just try this out and try to get my Shadow Ghoul back for the millionth time. (I love Shadow Ghoul, shaddap. xD)

I've been playing a bit of it on PC. Would get it for Switch if it didn't require constant internet and my NSO subscription was live. Playing Cyber Dragons and Pendulum Magicians so far. Neither fully built though.

Found the answer today and there is, but takes some extra steps to do it compared to Fortnite or Spellbreak.

Alright, I've played some of the solo stuff, time to try some online matches, this should be fine!

This is basically the same crap that I dealt with on the Pokemon Online TCG...3 of the same EX cards right at the start of the fight. It's pure BS.

That's modern Yu-Gi-Oh. 3 Blue Eyes is pretty "harmless" for today's standard. A turn can take a long time nowadays because they're doing really long combos and summon really strong monsters. It's dumb.
Legacy, against CPU is the closest of classic Yu-Gi-Oh you can get. 😉

Do all free to play games not require NSO to play online?

Agreed. Just be glad that they didn't summon Number 38 Hope Harbinger or Number 90 Galaxy Eyes Photon Lord using 2 of those Blue Eyes. Modern Yugioh is so broken. It's becoming more like poker where the opening hand decides the match.

Pretty much, I'm over here with normal basic cards because I just started, and just like with Pokemon, I'm up against powerful cards right at the start where I can't do anything at all and just lose right then and there, It's stupid.

...Tried another online match again, first time an error, after that it just started out normal with the guy quickly surrendering a few turns in. -.-

This is why I just prefer to fight against CPUs...none of this crap.

lmao...I'm done with this game, everyone is constantly pulling out powerful cards right at the start, and here I am unable to do absolutely nothing. Even when I had some powerful cards out myself, I can't attack due to some crappy trap cards. There's always SOMETHING that prevents me from winning against these people, I'd rather just go back to crashing every now and then with Legacy. >_>
