Topic: Are 3DS ports coming to Switch?

I've heard nothing other than fellow owners/people on various forums mentioning recently. I just wondered if folk here knew of anything concrete so far? ..OOT & Majoras's Mask 3D, A Link Between Worlds, Bravely Default, Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon etc, given some care/attention & pushed in the Switch's general direction, lovely!

@Miseryguts I haven't seen anything official. I do think some might come eventually. But probably not for a while. I suspect they still want to port some more Wii U titles. And then they may look at porting/remastering Wii and Gamecube titles. Since Nintendo is still officially supporting the 3DS for the moment, I doubt they will port anything from the system until after it finally is pseudo-retired, like the Wii U currently is.

@JackEatsSparrows Yeah. It also went the TWEWY route of having a mobile port of a DS game, so it has a head start in porting. The problem is that it’s going on every platform, which makes development longer.

Anything that has been adapted from DS/3DS to android or iOS has a chance of coming to Switch.

Eventually, I think. I could see Fire Emblem: Awakening ported for sure. Maybe even Kid Icarus: Uprising.

Guess Yo-Kai Watch isn't a 3DS game then, despite only being on 3DS....

@gamefreak77 One 3DS game is getting ported to the Switch. It isn't even a first-party Nintendo title and isn't at all indicative of any kind of pattern of porting 3DS games.

There have already been quite a few. Azure Striker Gunvolt, Code of Princess, Fairune Collection, Resident Evil Revelations, etc. With more coming later this year such as Alliance Alive and Layton's Mystery Journey. Nevermind the rumors of a Bravely Default collection hinted at last year.
