This might be a dumb question but does anybody know how to rotate the screen in aero fighters 2 for hi score mode, just got the flip grip. and can't figure out how to rotate the screen for this mode specifically the normal i can fine.
@settingsun209 It is not possible to rotate the screen in this mode. It is only possible to do that in the other modes. But since this is a fullscreen game, you don't really need the flip grip for it I think.
Who does everyone use in Aero Fighters. I'vr tried everyone but play pretty much exclusively as the ninja now.
I like this game quite a bit but the way the high score mode works can be a bit frustrating. Don't know if it's the same with everyone, but for me when the Paris stage turns up is the key to the whole thing. If it's stage 2, I might as well just start again. If it's 5, I'm laughing.
Current score for the challenge period is about 380k, by the way, but I know I can do a lot better than that and am looking to break my old personal best before posting a proper score.
@GrailUK great to hear from you again in this thread! I see you have your own challenge going on again? Did you get burned out on the challenges after then Terra Cresta insanity with the Asian rival? The next batch of challenges start after the current ones end on 16th of February (no games decided yet). Why don't you participate in any of the current ones, there is still over 2 weeks left... Zkibu need's a rival for Pacman for example, he is over 100k already?
@riccyjay Ninja of F14 for me, seems to be the easiest of the two to get points on my current skill level (mostly because of that stupid bonus level). I'm 460k on this challenge at the moment, haven't played it in few days though.
In Gunbird I'm usually dying in the last form of the Stage 6 boss (I usually get to Stage 6 on my first credit), once I got to stage 7 (beat the game too, but I'm not sure was it my last credit or one more when I did that because I had added extra for practicing purposes). Didn't take any screenshots to prove it yet. I'm quite sure I will at least get to stage 7 in this survival challenge. Beating the first loop is not out of the question either because of the 2 extra credits available.
Planning to play Metal Slug too as last one. Pacman I will skip.
@GFoyle Ah Terra Cresta was epic! No I didn't get burned out, but I needed to play less hardcore and catch up on Xenoblade, Octopath and buckets more. Bomb Jack is one of my top 5 video games so of course I had to be number one lol! And now I'm up for really nailing a game again lol.
Will have a look at Pac-man this weekend I reckon.
I never drive faster than I can see. Besides, it's all in the reflexes.
The game is very slowly starting to grown on me a bit. The rank effect / difficulty curve is just even more annoying than on other psikyo games (I count this as one even though it was different company), especially the speeding up the bullets part, which suddenly can get way too fast and doesn't really given any room for reacting.
419, 300 is my current highest run on AERO FIGHTERS 2 High-Score challenge. Currently 59th on the in-game Top 100 list. Just marginally ahead of brethren @zkibu

We are now halfway through the first month of the challenge and it's time for a quick update on how things are going.
High score challenge 1 | Aero Fighters 2 | High score mode
The in-game leaderboard of AF2 is currently being invaded by us and we already have 6 spots in the top 100. Even more if we are counting older entries.
It's nice to see everybody is close together in the 400k - 500k range with @GFoyle taking a comfortable lead. Tips: Coins give more points based on their position on the screen. Higher = more points. This can go up to 10k per coin and this makes a huge difference. Learn the pattern where the coins appear and make sure you are there to pick them up as soon as they appear. Also make sure to destroy all the parts of the boss before taking it out completely, these parts also give extra points. Using these methods you should get around 95k at the end of level 1. @riccyjay Any progress beating your old score? @Tatanak Are you joining us for this challenge? You already have a great highscore in Aero Fighters 2, just behind @GFoyle
High score challenge 2 | Pac-Man | High score
It's been a bit quiet in this challenge. Maybe everybody was blown away by the monstrous score set by @Zkibu getting all the way up to the top 50 in-game leaderboard. Tips: Pac-man actually isn't that hard for the first couple of stages. It is possible to learn a few simple patterns which you need to follow and this will help you to clear out half the field, eat some fruits and set you up for some easy ghost eating. More importantly, it will also make you look like a total badass while playing Pac-man.

Survival challenge 1 | Gunbird | Default settings (3 lives, 2 continues, normal difficulty, 400k extend)
With two continues it's possible to get to stage five without much trouble. This is where things get a bit more tricky. From that point on, if you use a continue you start at the beginning of that stage. @GFoyle has gotten up to the final boss using default settings. Most of us are stuck in level 6 though. Tips: Not much for this game. Be sure to experiment with the different characters as they all behave differently. You can also do some practice runs with more continues to get some practice in the later stages of the game.
Survival challenge 2 | Metal Slug | Complete the game using a total of 5 continues
It seems 5 continues was a bit generous for the first Metal Slug game. Metal Slug is not that difficult at all once you memorize levels and boss patterns. Reaching level 5 or 6 very doable and this is where most of us are at. Nobody has beaten the game yet using 5 continues, it's going to be interesting to see if someone manages to do this during this challenge. Tips: Practice, practice, practice. Know where the enemies are, know the levels, know the boss patterns. Make sure you use your grenades. Don't die in stupid places.
Arcade Challenge Season 1, 1st Month Leaderboard
Check everybody's progress during this challenge. Every time someone posts their progress, it will be updated in this leaderboard. You can see how well you are doing compared to others and in what game you can score some extra points. Points can also drop if someone beats your score in one of the highscore challenges.
