I'm really feeling the lack of d pad for this one. I'll have to resort to use my faithful SF30, but I play mostly on the go and that wouldn't be a practical solution. Can't wait for that HORI left joycon... It would solve all my problems

Thanks for the invite @OorWullie. I've a a few runs today and have started to get a feel for it, but the game does a bad job of explaining itself. And why the **** won't it remember my initials (or allow fast scrolling) for entering high scores?
I thought I was doing alright until I saw Meppi's scores
The annoying thing is that I got that 16 million score before most of those others on that board. I then had a go at hard and easy (hadn't spotted the Medium rule) and now I can't replicate it.
I chose to use the shipping option where the fees were prepaid and the package is shipped to amazon France and then shipped over here. That seemed like the safest bet to pay the least.
Came to €57 for 2 controllers.
@RetroGamerAndrew Yeah, that's the problem with importing from a store like that.
Unless you want to pay for express shipping or something like that, but then you'll be paying a lot more on shipping alone and 99.9% get stung with import tax, handling fees and a possible third fee as well.
It's kinda baffling how you can import Japanese games from random ebay stores, get free shipping and have the game there in under a week at times, although most times it's the week after.
My Bayonetta 1+2 order from them arrived in 15 days, but my Earth Defense Force 5 order took 6 weeks to get here. It was over the holidays, but still... I'm hoping my Play-Asia order of Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate (Switch) and Battle Garegga (PS4) will get here next week (hopefully by the end of this week) as it was shipped last Tuesday and they are normally a little quicker.
It can be a bit tricky to get Japanese only games here, that's for sure.
At this point I'm actually contemplating buying Bullet Soul 1 on Japanese 360 again. I bought it over a year ago and it never showed up, even though it was from a seller I had used lots before.
Wasn't able to get a refund thanks to ebay/paypal as well, so that sucked as it's not a cheap game.
It's one of the only shoot em ups I'm missing on 360, and I played the digital version so I really want it. But again, kinda pricey. And I need the money to try and somehow keep up with Switch releases. Although that seems to get more and more impossible as developers jump on board.
Still, a good problem to have.

@RetroGamerAndrew@meppi64 20mil end of level 1. So bloody annoyed because I died on the third phase. Reckon it could be 5 mil on top of that easy. Anyway, as for tips, I can echo MasterLEON and say you need to graze the ghost gems in between groups. If you hug the pink lines of lazer (preferably in the middle of two - you see where they are going to appear) and don't die or use a bomb. Should be good It's possible to get your chain way over 1000 by the boss.

I'll have to focus on keeping my combo up instead of trying to just stay alive and make it as far as I can.
That should make a huge difference.
I wonder what the best way is to keep your combo going during those short intermissions in stages, where the screen goes a little dark and nothing happens. That should push the score up considerably as well.

@meppi64 I don't think you lose meter during those moments e.g just before the boss fight. It kinda freezes and resumes once the boss is 'live' and you have enough time to tag the first bullets to resume your combo.

I'll try to push myself but I can't see me reaching that score anytime soon. I'll try to be less conservative but still... using the joycon analog stick it seems like I'm unable to properly control the ship now.

@OorWullie Was gonna get more items in the sale but sticking to a 25 pound ecard this week I got WonderBoy, Danmaku , and Sol Divide. Previous week I got Fire Emblems DLC and a Hamster. I can usually get 2 titles with a15 pound card and 4 titles with a 25 pound card, using gold coins. I'm finding sticking to one ecard a week keeps me in control of what I spend, be it 15 or 25. My local Wilkes which sells em is only a 5 minute trek for me. Andthe gold coin system has come in very useful for me. Say I get two Psyiko and get two Hamsters that's £26.56. But buying three building up the gold coins and then get the fourth staying to the 25 pound limit. Makes you way more selective, while increasing your games collection at a staggering rate. The major issue is of course that some games are not getting the time they deserve, counterbalanced by the fact that the art of collecting is so much fun in and of itself.
@wasilewski Skimming bullets. Sprayin' 'n' prayin' Skimming the ghost orbs in between waves. (I zig zag to pick them up so you skim them then pick them up if that makes sense) Hog the pink lasers especially on the boss.

@GrailUK How is that Level 1 score also your Highest Score? Surely if you're good enough to get 20 million on the first level you've already had a few gos and and scored higher than that with all your credits...
