@meppi64 I'll definitely share my impressions once I start diving in. I'm excited to get going! Also, I think that'll be a ton of fun reading through the magazines and then grabbing games based on those impressions. I'll definitely make good use of that resource. Thank you again for doing all that!
Ah, no worries. I've been a big Xbox fan since day 1. Honestly, I didn't let that E3 set me back either. Sure, I didn't care much for the Xbox One during its first few years, actually. But I've come back to it a lot more recently, even though I can play a lot of the games on PC now. I just like having Forza on console when needed, and love the Xbox Game Pass service. I also like what they're doing with backwards compatibility and look forward to seeing what they continue to do with it.
That's a great lineup for your Vita, especially those SteamWorld games. Gotta love those!
But yeah, I took to the PSP more than I did DS, but then 3DS far more than the Vita. It's just an interesting swing of events it seems. But thinking back on the PSP again today, I agree with you, it really does have such a magnificent library of games. I might have to keep an eye on some of those games too that I want to return to or play for the first time. I'm regretting I ever let OutRun go on the PSP.
When it comes to FAST it certainly is important to find your perfect vehicle, because once you do you'll handle the tracks perfectly and fly away while having so much fun! I love, love, love those games!!
Ohh, if you want to compare some lap times in PGR3 or 4, let me know and I'll play along. Same goes again for MSR.
@wasilewski@monkeyspasm I believe the machines are set to free-play at Arcade Club. I may be incorrect but I think you pay a very reasonable entrance fee (£10/£15) and then fill your boots for the entire day.

Yes, that's right. £10 per floor or £15 for both. Arcade Club is located in an old mill, which only adds to the atmosphere. Andy's currently working on another floor on the first floor of the mill.
Floor 3, which was the original floor, is the main arcade - 250+ cabs from late 70s through to 2000s. Everything you could wish for is there - from Galaxian, Defender, Star Wars through to Time Crisis, Sega Rally etc. It's dark and atmospheric, and is just like an 80s arcade. It has a bar with very reasonably priced drinks and food.
Floor 2 has a much more modern feel. This floor features stuff like dance cabs, Guitar Hero, and VR PCs and consoles. There are still many candy cabs here, with classic fighters and shooters. The PCs are all top spec. There is also a dedicated pinball room on this floor. Floor 2 has another bar, and I would say is more of a proper cafe.
The difference in ambience is what makes it great paying for both IMO - after the chaos of floor 3, I can go and chill out in floor 2 - you'll see plenty of people just relaxing on the sofas between games. They also have live music at the end of each month.
There's a really friendly feel to the place. It's just heaven, it really is
Oh, and I saw a lot of talk about Sega Rally, which is my favourite ever driving game.
Sega Rally Revo was great. but Sega Rally 3 in the arcade had tightened up handling, and handled much more like classic Sega Rally. This was then released on Xbox 360 and PS3 as Sega Rally Online Arcade, which was pure driving heaven! The tragedy is, it was delisted from both stores as Sega's licenses for the vehicles expired, so there is no way to get the game any more - it never had a physical release.
I still keep an Xbox 360 just for this game. I live in hope that Sega will release a version with unlicensed cars.
So some of you may know that I’m slightly obsessed with Jeff Minter. Well I obtained the home brew cart of revenge if the mutant camels and Llamatron for the Jag in the new year. On April fools day Atari Age post a video showing that in all the carts a complete version of gridrunner had been hidden. Obviously we all thought it was an April fool but he’ll no it was totally true. Gridrunner is now fully unlocked and I’ve beern blasting through it all weekend.
True story. 😘
@OorWullie I can’t thank you enough for gushing about moon patrol. So,ehow I never played it back in the day. I bought it on your recommendation and absolutely love it. Been playing the caravan mode but not making much of an impression on the leader boards but I’m bloody having fun. Thanks man. I’m now going to investigate Tenga. 😘
