@OorWullie I think Punch Out will be tomorrow. I've seen so much coverage of it already I didn't even look up the date and just figured it would be tomorrow. lol

I'd love to see a weekly regular arcade game release on top of the Neo Geo ones.
So many classics I want to see released, yet only 52 weeks in a year...

Whilst I actually can't keep up financially with all these releases I still want more ☺️

Whilst I would be happy for Hamster to handle every arcade Switch release, I'm pleased with have other arcade games coming from ZeroDiv and that strange Johnny Turbo line of Data East games as well as NAMCO. However, jury is still out on whether the emulation can be top notch across the board. If we can get NAMCO and Hamster quality - ZeroDiv are a close third - on ALL arcade releases and keep them to multiple titles a week = pure gaming heaven.

Tomorrow I'll be picking up Tengai, Punch Out, Sengoku 3 and Gotcha Racing 2.Outlast 2 as well but probably not until Monday as I've still to finish the original. I'll be buying the 3 arcade releases from Norway, Gotcha Racing 2 from the US and Outlast 2 from South Africa. Spending too much on games so need to save where I can

If I bought all those games from the UK it would cost me £55,however buying them from those Eshop's I mentioned it will only come to £38.

Absolutely loving Pacman CE2 now. Just going for a high score on the regular standard board is unbelievably addictive. It lets you watch replays of the top players on the leaderboard which helps a lot.It can take a while to click but when it does it's superb. Really like how you can customise the look of everything. Great game!

Yeah my I'm still not quite sold in the Johnny Turbo thing. Hopefully they will get their act together.

Also, are they going with Tengai for the western release?
Can't seem to find it on the EU eshop coming soon section even though it's already for sale on the Japanese one.
Always hated that name for some reason and I don't know why. It somehow seems unfinished. :-/
Might just be it reminding me of the Tengai Makyou series or something.
I really want the outlast games as well as that other horror game released, Layers of Fear.
But I'm holding out for a possible physical release since they are quit big and expensive.
I'd rather have them on cartridge.
Still so many games I have to start playing and yet Kirby arrived today and so did Rocket League and Skyrim on Monday.
And any day now Musou Orochi 3 might drop in my mailbox from Japan.

Just browsing the Japanese eshop, it seems a very soft core eroge "game" has been released there on Switch. lol
Forget the Dreamcast or Vita, Switch is becoming the Saturn 2 if this keeps up! ;P

@meppi64 Yep Tengai is the title we're getting. It's been on the US Eshop coming soon section for a few days now. Just had a look at that "eroge" game. Never heard of that word before. I'm assuming it translates to "erotic"? Strange seeing games like that on a Nintendo machine. There seems to be a few saucy games coming now. Lux Machina, Gal Gun 2,this Eroge game and that one with the schoolgirls that just released on the Japanese Eshop,which looks to be no more than a crappy looking shoot-em-up with some anime cut scenes . it's a full price title though and comes in at over 6gb.

@OorWullie I've got to draw the line somewhere and give my wallet a rest for a month or so before too long. Spent another small fortune last weekend picking up a second Switch for the family and the accompanying Micro SD card, Screen Protector, Carry Case and digital bundle of SPLATOON 2 and the Octo Expansion DLC.

However, with many of the games you just mentioned on my radar plus the incoming STREET FIGHTER COLLECTION looming it looks as though that break in spending is going to be hard to enforce, lol!

It's done all the time in Japan. Pokemon, Pocket Monsters, Puro, pro wrestling, etc.
I noticed that shoot em up screen in between those dating sim ones as well. Lol

I got added to another party by some random who befriended me on his Switch (I'm polite, I accept most friend invites even in-game ones) and we had some amazing matches together tonight.

Only thing was, I am also very new to this game and didn't know how to leave the party he had created. I didn't want to do it mid-match either. So ended up playing more and more matches. Good fun but I was going to try and join you.

Eventually, I even exited out of the game only to reboot it up and still be in a party with him, lol!

I think I've figured out, you have to selected their icon on the bottom left of the main menu and hit exit.

Anyway, I'm back on now if anyone wants to invite me to a party to play with them?

@Meppi64 @GrailUK Can't remember how close you guys are in the DANMAKU high-scores but any ideas of what arcade game you might pick for next week?

@Lroy I think I would choose Moon Patrol! Something just pick up and play Not played today though as I thought a break might do me good ready for level 3 and 4. I have just bought Rocket League and want to give that a go!

@OorWullie Oh, yeah! Thanks for the reminder about Gotcha Racing 2 tomorrow. I'm also interested in picking that one up. I'm a pretty big racing fan and love all types of racing games.

@CaffeinatedGamer Yep I'm really looking forward to that one. I'm a big fan of racing games too and loved overhead racers back in the day. The original was supposed to be good and the sequel looks like it'll be even better. I'd normally wait for a review but I think I'll take a chance on this one.

Lode Runner Legacy has appeared from nowhere on the UK Eshop. It's available to buy now and has a demo too. I had Lode Runner on the Spectrum 128k.Cant remember if I liked it or not. It must be close to 35 years since I played it.

@OorWullie Nice! I wonder if there will be any type of leaderboard for lap times?
I can't remember the name of it, but I played a ton of a top-down racer back in the day where getting the nitro pickups were the key to winning.

I would really love some good racing games on the Switch. I have Mantis Burn Racing, but that one struggles to keep me interested. My favorite racing game by far is FAST RMX.

Has anyone tried Gear Club? I've been a little shy about buying it.

@CaffeinatedGamer I know it has online leaderboards for time attack at least.

I have Mantis Burn Racing too, I really liked it but it takes a lot of time before it gets going. The grind for upgrades can get a bit monotonous and the lack of variety in tracks certainly doesn't help. FAST RMX is superb,I had Neo on Wii U which was great but the Switch version is much better. Nicer graphics and it feels better to control . I was just playing the other night for the first time in months,forgot how good it was.

I'm not sure about Gear Club, seems too expensive for a slightly upgraded mobile game. It's been on sale a couple of times but only by 10 or 15%. If it had a 50% discount then I'd probably go for it. A new V-Rally is on the way this year though and if the rumours are true, Ridge Racer 8 as well.

Yeah, FAST is fantastic. I had the original on the Wii, then got Neo on the Wii U, and now RMX on Switch. I could play it all day long too. Actually, FAST RMX would be a fun challenge for everyone to do. Pick a track and have people compete with their fastest lap times.

Exactly. I don't want it for $45. If it was cut in a half, absolutely. But yeah, hopefully those rumors are true about Ridge Racer. And bring on V-Rally!

I actually booted up GRID last night and tonight on the 3DS. I was in a random mood to play a little bit of my 3DS and that's a game I wanted to play but haven't put a lot of time into yet. I pulled that out, along with Glory Days 2 and Nanostray 1 and 2.

Yeah, played a bit of Rocket League by myself instead, trying to get a feel for the game and I quickly had to up the CPU difficulty as it was way too easy to score on it's initial setting.
I actually hate soccer and most sports games for instance, unless it's some kind of arcade version with silly stuff mixed it.
I'd say the only exception there are Golf games for some weird reason, although I've yet to play any Tiger Woods game or something like that, so it probably fit in with the others. My favourite Saturn golf game for instance was Valora Valley Golf where you would play on the side of a volcano for instance and on a bunch of very strange courses. lol

But once I got the hang of Rocket League a little, it became clear that the "football with cars" thing was actually false. This is far more a pool game with floating balls, RC Cars and goals.
The way you angle your shots and have to calculate just how to hit the ball (or your opponent ).
Really liking this one. Still terrible at it too, besides the bare basics.

As for the game for next week. Seems like you guys have read my mind.
I was going to say something less intense after the brutally hard Danmaku and was going to suggest Moon Patrol. But I'm a bit late on that, so I'll throw my card into the bucket filled with similar cards instead.

And I'm really hoping that Ridge Racer rumour is true, and if it it, they take the series back to it's roots without any of that Nitro boost stuff.
Anything in the vein of Ridge Racer 1-5 would be perfect for me.
Heck, I'd be okay if it was a straight remake of those.
