@BrittGOAL14 Thank you! I have two more fish to catch and donate for this month. Good thing I made a ton of fish bait when I caught that stringfish.

@MarioLover92 I haven’t gone fishing in ages. I don’t even know which fish I still need... I’ll have to figure that out soon.

I have yet to catch either of the pier fish (tuna and blue marlin), and I check the pier frequently. Are they just incredibly rare?

@Mountain_Man All the pier fish are incredibly rare. I always try to catch 4 of each fish, one to donate and 3 for CJ to make a model. The only fish I failed to to do that with were the tuna and the giant trevally, which I only caught 2 of before they disappeared. The tuna has since come back and I've now caught two more, but I'm still waiting for the giant trevally to come back.

@Mountain_Man Yup. I highly recommend using bait while it’s raining.

@BrittGOAL14 Yeah, I haven't fished in a while either before yesterday, lol. I pretty much looked up what fish are available on March, browsed my Critterpedia, and took it from there. Wanna do the same thing for the bugs and sea creatures too.

Quick question... I have a Switch Lite and a Regular Switch console. The Lite is my main system, which I use whenever I'm at work or whatever and I have been playing a lot of ACNH. My girlfriend recently decided she wanted to play, so she logged a few days into the copy I downloaded onto the regular switch. I wanted to visit her island to give her some stuff to help her in the early game, but I didn't realize you couldn't visit yourself using your own copy, lol...

Anyway, I've come to terms with buying a second copy but is there any way to transfer the data from this island to her new copy of the game? Or will she have to start from scratch when she gets her own copy?

@pikku her save data should still all be there if I'm understanding your situation correctly.

Well.. that update coming up is extremely disappointing. However, I don't expect much from this game anymore. The refusal of features that'd make the game itself worth playing.. is expected. I'm probably just going to go back to playing the superior game that came out before this..

@GazzaB85 I have that DIY now if you're still interested. I have it sitting on that brick block next to my house.

Update: I've updated my dream address today, as well. I added one more bridge to my island.

Just watched one of my villagers swat another villager with his net and then did the "Doh!" emote! Ha ha!

I'm still trying figure out what wonderful variety of activities were offered in New Leaf that I was apparently unaware of for the 5-years I spent playing it. What did you actually do in that game that is missing from New Horizons?

@Mountain_Man loads of shops are missing, the multiplayer island is missing, series staples, the holidays feel mostly like worse versions of New Leaf, and lack of charm due to replacing some NPC’s with items.

Smaller holidays are also pretty much completely gone, except for a few items you can buy.

The shops and non-resident NPCs have mostly been replaced by a regular rotation of visitors. Whether or not this is an improvement or detriment is clearly a matter of opinion. New iteration of holiday being worse? Again, a matter of opinion. I don't remember smaller holidays being a standout feature in New Leaf, but admittedly it has been a long time since I've played it. I suppose if you spent a lot of time playing with friends on Totimer's Island then that's something that would be missed. But then you have the ability to craft, sculpt your town's terrain, move structures at will, and freely decorate your town to your heart's content, which are awesome new features that, in my opinion, blow away every previous game in the series.

All in all, your grievances seem to fall primarily into the "it's different, so it sucks" category, which is fine. Animal Crossing games appeal to different people for different reasons. For that matter, you'll still find folks who insist that the Game Cube original is the still best of the bunch. On the flipside, you won't find many defenders of City Folk, but I suppose there must be some.

@Mountain_Man I mean, I never said I wasn’t voicing an opinion. My opinion is shared with a lot of fans of the series though, and especially the ones who don’t play the games only for customization. Like for me, I really suck at decorating, so the decorating tools replacing all the other content I liked about the previous entries.. just doesn’t feel right.
