@foxyflimflam ( Letting you know ) I am trying to Terraform my land... So you might see me in and out of online. (OMG! So much work I might give up soon , lol! ) I don't want to play visiting at the moment cos my island is messy ( flowers everywhere, trees on another side ) Was so tempted to reset the game, then my little girl ask me, what about all the stuff you've been collecting? lol!

@BrittGOAL14 That's a bummer, doesn't he give like 50% more for each bug? He's on my island right now, but I'm sitting here at work. (though I mean, I'm glad I have a job right now and all, and a very easy one, I am very glad and very lucky! But I'm also selfish and childish and want to play video games!)

@foxyflimflam This is an intentional design choice. They didn’t want players to be able to gather all the varieties of fruit and resources too quickly.

But it’s still worth going to collect iron and gold nuggets.

@Heavyarms55 you can get hybrid flowers (other colors) by planting the basic colors you can get from the seeds. There is a really good guide online that shows you each type of flower and what color combos make the hybrid colors. Do a google search and it should pop up! (:

@NotTelevision I totally understand that but there needs to be a bit more variety in the layouts. I shouldn't get the same exact layout back to back....that to me is crazy! Esp for the price of 2000 nook miles. Appreciate your response (:

@foxyflimflam Yes I understand. I’m in the Northern Hemisphere and still haven’t come across an orange tree yet. One of these days hopefully.

@MrMeowPuss I got repeat island even after all the 5 main ( 2 at the start of the game and 3 that need outdoor furniture ) move in. I get like only 3 different visit. rainy day (once), ( I think ) orange (don't recall cos my kid gave me different fruits too ), and bamboo (once). Most of the time is/ was my native fruit, same island, same fishes, same flowers and same layout. And even when I gotten the chance to build/sell land for house ( new villager ) the only thing different is there is a potential villager in the mystery island.

My little girl has more luck with visiting different island.

@foxyflimflam Yeah i was very foolish at the start and would just sell off my Clay and iron. Of course I got to the point I needed it for the bridge and other items so was hating myself and spent so much on nook miles to fix it.

When I seen on some guide sites there are meant to be quite a large amount of different islands so there must be something more to it.

@UnknownReader Seems is most of us having this issue then. I'd like to visit a completely different mystery island and get myself some cherries and different fish! I got over 10k nook miles saved and will continue to save them until it's fixed.

@MrMeowPuss that is the main reason I am so frustrated getting the same islands...I've seen all these "potential" islands too listed online but have yet to visit them! I will say I have gotten the money rock island twice now but I can't tell you how many nook miles I have spent on tickets! Its appalling! 🤣

You have to put aside ( thou it's not hard to save up ) nook mile point if you want to do terraforming

I hoarded nearly 700,000 bells for a mere 3,450 (or so) bells in interest.

Stuff that. I'm just going to spend, spend, spend on my home and infrastructure from now on.

@foxyflimflam Oh I know you can do it that way, and I have gotten a few already.

But there is also a rare island mystery tour where the island is supposed to have almost all hybrid colors.

But also, I only have 4 of the 8 species of flower so far. At least I think there are 8. And I would like to get the others.
