When I get to the end of a long game, I don't tend to want a really tough, drawn out battle. I generally find those sorts of encounters, regardless of point in the game, frustrating and no fun. Finally beating them is just a relief rather than satisfying. I never look forward to boss fights.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

I agree. I’ve just defeated Ganon and loaded my previous save before the final battle (but now has a star next to it). I’m abit disappointed you couldnt enter or see the Hyrule castle without Ganon present. Although the final memory vids were pretty decent. I’m going to go back and complete some side quests and shrines until I’m fully done. But overall loved the game! Just dissapointing there wasnt a change of scenery after the defeat.

Just finished this yesterday. One of the best games I've ever played, although the ending was a bit disappointing (though understandable). I've completed all of the shrines and most of the armor upgrades. I don't really feel like 100%-ing the game; I'm quite done fighting Lynels and searching for Korok seeds I actually no longer need. I'm a casual gamer, relax at my couch, comfortably with a beer and a Nintendo controller as the extension of my hand. I'm more into the story and exploring than into the challenge.

What I would like is some more exploring. Any chance I would like the DLC-packs? From what I've read it may very well not really be my cup of tea, even though I really enjoyed the game. Thanks for your advice!

I was concerned when I saw my old save file then looked at this thread to make sure nothing didn’t save but everything was saved (I’m pretty sure). Then I checked my quest accidentally and saw the Destry Ganon quest incomplete. If anyone could tell me if that’s normal please tell me!

That's normal.

Yes definately normal. Does your save file have a ‘star’ next to it? @wotecnolog

I personally think that because zelda games are set up: link beats Ganon then saves zelda and how malice plays a big role in the game, when Ganon is defeated malice is defeated because Ganon is sort of controlling malice, the guardians are corrupted because the malice is no longer able to help revive the enemies when a blood moon happens and a whole new set of dialogue is needed for npcs for praising link defeating ganon. So it makes sense to go back to the save before defeating ganon

Finding all the names of all the locations on the map. Taking a picture of everything to be logged in to your slate. Finding all the armor. Upgrading all the armor. Competing the side quest. Collect every Korok Seed. I feel that this is what makes up most of the One hundred percent. I would also like to talk about The Master Sword talking to Zelda.

I liked the final boss of BoTW. It felt like a suitably epic conclusion. Calamity Ganon is a huge pain unless you figure out a good tactic to bypass his invulnerability or are really good at triggering flurry mode. And Darkblight Ganon may not have been a hard fight, but the final form of Ganon rarely is. In fact, in almost every Zelda game the final boss tends to be rather weak compared to earlier bosses. And if you know what you're doing, most of the bosses in the series are easy.

Just like in OoT you fight Gannondorf, and it's a difficult fight unless you're extremely good at the game. Then he transforms into Demon King Ganon, and the fight is pathetically easy. Let's face it, Ganon keeps forgetting an important Evil Overlord rule. "I will not turn into a giant snake, it never helps."

I have yet to face off against Calamity Ganon, but from what I've done with the DLC expansion packs, it only adds a video to the end.

But during the game, you can get a ton of cool armor and drastically decreased cool down times for your champion power ups.

Additionally, you have the trial of the sword, which is a tough 51 level dungeon with 9nly 3 save points. Beating this, permanently increases the master sword power to 60 and allows you to become Sage Link

With your game style, I feel you would like the expansion packs. I'm the same way, playing for fun not for completing every little thing. The DLC adds 16 shrines, a ton of armor, 5 boss fights, a few pieces of cool tech, and a 5th divine beast. And a new ruin.

Also, it allows you to earn shorter cool down times for your champion powers.

I keep reading about a star you get after beating Ganon. I just beat him, and I see the percentage now but no star. Where should I be looking for the star?

I was pretty upset you couldn’t play after and explore the castle without enemies and be able to have more missions with princess zelda but the nice thing is that you can keep playing on that save and go play in the open world and you will always have that star so they know you beat the game

@Link_flame who's they? Nintendo? The police? The Bokoblins?

@toiletduck I'm guessing that Korok and Hateno kid. They both like being shown things, so maybe they wanna see that star. Or Tingle.
