@meppi64 okay will preservere with the motion controls as from what you have said it seems better long term. At the moment I seem to be a moment behind in everything I do but I'm hoping muscle memory will build and I can improve my reactions. Salmon Run seems to be getting a lot of praise so will definetely give it a try. I found the snipers to be the easiest weapon for myself so far in actually splatting people but that maybe why I am so vulnerable to rollers lols I really struggled to actually claim much turf with it though but yeah there's a lot to take in but it's enjoyable for sure. I can see why people find it addicting I jumped online early forva single quick match while dinner cooked and six later and dinner burnt I had to stop myself from having just one more match!!

Hehe, yeah, rollers are quite hard to counter with a sniper.
You should basically not let people get close to you when using a sniper in Splatoon. And when a roller is rolling up on you and you need to simultaneously move backwards and have only 1 shot to take them out, that's a very tough position to be in.

As for pretty much any other weapon, when going up against a roller, keep shooting and keep walking backwards while doing so.
If you see them jump, move sideways as they will try to throw ink on top of you since they can't crush you because you're walking backwards.

Also, what is really important in this game is to make sure you got a good exit in all situations.
So try to not paint yourself into a corner, literally.
Try to always keep a good wide exit path of your colour behind you, so that when you're getting hit or double teamed, you can slip in and quickly retreat. That's very important.

You might want to watch the Inkonomic videos as they are really well done and explain all of this is a much better way than just in text.

So annoying that Salmon Run is still a timed event. Hope that changes once the game hits its one year anniversary this summer.

I am a big game show/board game/party game fan (probably the only person who loved Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival!!) and wondering if anyone has any recommendations for current or up coming games that might fall in to that genre!! Have quite a good selection for Wii/WiiU but would like to have something other than Monopoly.

@bluemage1989 That's a good question. I'd be interested to know what game suggestions people have. I can only recall - and this is pushing the classification a bit - UNO and OTHELLO? I think that was what the latter was called. Early digital launch title for Switch.

@Lroy there could be a thousand reasons why I am wrong BUT the Switch strikes me as the perfect home for conversions of board/table top games. The hardcore fanbase of table top games is always going to be wanting the real physical game but the potential pool of games that could be remade on Switch is staggering. I also really like the idea of board games like Mario Kart Monopoly coming to Switch. These don't strike me as massively expensive titles to make outside of actually procuring the license and I think would be great sellers. Would really love to see the likes of Cluedo, Risk, Trivial Pursuit and Scrabble make an appearance on the eshop. Other than those you mentioned the only titles I have seen are Chess Ultra and Bingo.

As for game shows well I just really love a good game show game that can take what works on the TV and make you feel like your taking part. Very under appreciated genre in my opinion.

We desperately need a new Mario Party on Switch. Fingers crossed for E3!!
