Topic: About the home button..

Hi, I'm new to the Nintendo switch world. I just noticed the home button on the switch. It seems like it has a light ring on it. Does it light up? I'm curious cause it never lit up for me. I have a switch lite btw. Did yours ever lit up?

@voidwarlock04 You're right. It is a light, and so far, no game or console function has utilized it. So, there's nothing wrong, and you haven't missed anything.

Since you're new, I'll mention that double tapping the home button enables a screen zoom function, letting you zoom in on any part of the picture (in case you have a hard time reading tiny print). That feature was added about a year after switch launched, not sure its covered well for people new to the console. Double tap home to toggle screen zoom on/off.

@WoomyNNYes It’s lights up when I tether it’s to my pc via Bluetooth on steam.

Yeah, it's pretty much useless, though I don't want it to be like the Wii U Gamepad which lit up and drained the battery until you checked a notification

I think only Ring Fit Adventure uses it right now. It lights up and the controller vibrates if you set a reminder for a specific time.
