Topic: 51 worldwide games sideways on tv

Hi please can someone help me, I've connected the switch to the TV and when we go to play bowling its sideways on the TV! Also checkers don't seem to work properly, the coins go up in the air and disappear 😕 x

@Nyla2017 Unless someone here knows the issue better, I believe the setting should be within the game's settings/options. If you can't find the setting, you can close the game and re-open it, that also may clear the rotated image issue. Granted, that will kill whatever game you were playing.

I looked in Switch console settings, and couldn't find the option, so that's why I believe it's a setting within the game. Some games and people call the sideways image, "tate mode", image is rotated 90 degrees.

Some TVs allow you to change image orientation (90 degrees), but that's usually buried in the TV's settings, in a place you don't mess with. So, I think TV settings are not likely your issue.

@WoomyNNYes thank you I shall try, seems strange its doing it, no I will Deffo not be playing with the TV settings ill never live that down x

@Nyla2017 If you want to play Cluhouse 51 games online, then yes, you need a Nintendo Switch Online membership. If you want to buy a subscription, open eshop, and Nintendo Switch Online is at the bottom of the list, pick which package you want. (You get two things with Nintendo Switch Online: 1.) access to play games online. 2.) cloud save backup (to backup your game progress to Nintendo's cloud server). It's up to you, if you want them.

If someone else in your house has another Switch console, you can use the Switch's "local wirelsess"(bluetooth) to connect with that console, no internet needed.
