So I'm new on this forum, but wanted to ask about something.
I'm usually a PC and PS4 player, but I tend to play Mario Kart and other games like that sometimes.
The thing is my Wii U doesn't work anymore, and after sometime I really miss a Nintendo. Therefore I thought of upgrading to the Nintendo Switch. Now I have a few questions which are pretty noob, but still would love some help.
Am I right when I say that I am able to player 2-players offline if I buy the console?
And, the real question is how many games is 32gb? I'm used to PC and PS4, and here a game usually requires 50gb, and then I am about to buy a console for same price as PS4, but with only 32gb??
I am planning on playing Mario Kart and Mario & Sonic at Olympics as main games, but is 32gb even enough for that?
@sejethom No problem with newb questions. We were all newbs at one point.
Yes, you can play offline splitscreen with Mario Kart 8.
The 32 GB of space built into the Switch isn't that spacious. So far pixel art games are around 250 - 500 MB. Mario Kart 8 is 6.8 GB. The bulk of bigger games sit between 6 GB - 16 GB? Currently, only a couple games are 30 GB (Witcher 3 is one). 16 GB has been the magic number because the Nintendo game cards are so expensive to produce, publisher haven't wanted to mess with 32GB. 64GB are supposed to be coming some day before the end of 2020, or are already in producton, but I'm not sure when a publisher will actually use those cards, because of the production cost.
I've had my Switch since launch. I filled most of my 256 GB micro sd card, and got a 400 GB. I still have 170 GB of free space on my my 400 GB. Half of my games are physical?

Yeah you can play local multiplayer with plenty of games just using the joycons that come with the console. Alternatively, if you want a more comfortable controller, you can buy additional controllers (since you have a PS4, I'd recommend getting the 8bitdo adapter that lets you use the PS4 controller on the Switch, it works perfectly!).
Also, you can buy microSD cards for really cheap if you wanna expand the storage beyond 32GB. Nintendo games aren't that big in general though.
Most multiplayer games on Switch support local co-op for up to 4 players, @sejethom .... For you & one other person, you can usually play with a joy-con each, as well Games will say if they support such features in the details in eshop, so do check for each one you're thinking of to be safe
Although 32 GB isn't huge, most games on eshop aren't that big, overall but you'd probably want a micro sd card pretty soon.
