Oblivion Remastered, Starfield (if it will run), Assassins’s Creed Shadows (and odyssey), NHL, BG3 (literally why I have not bought it), sims 4. Since a lot of my long shots are coming to the system I can make more flighty wishes.

I'm not sure if somebody already mentioned it but I want Kid Icarus Uprising. I believe the mouse controls make it a lot more of a possibility. Then again, I've been asking for this game since the early days of Switch 1. It can be done but will need more attention to the controls and with or without the mouse controls.

I've been asking for a HD Kid Icarus in the style of Uprising, port or otherwise, since the Wii U. So definitely one that should happen. Whether it will ever happen though is another question

Still waiting for Genshin Impact to come to Switch 2, but this announcement might throw that into question:

Hoyoverse announced that they're discontinuing support for the PS4 version of Genshin Impact due to system limitations and starting April 8, 2026 will only be supported by PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and higher end phones and PCs. The weird silence on the Switch version pretty much signaled that it was cancelled, but now with them dropping PS4 you have to wonder if they're even going to bother with a Switch 2 version or just skip Nintendo consoles altogether.

That would be lovely. I sold my Wii copy long ago but would like to revisit it.

Kinda crazy a mobile game has issues running on PS4. I wonder if the issues would be addressed by Switch 2's more modern components.

In all fairness, Genshin Impact is no ordinary mobile game, it's basically gacha BotW. It is a live service game where they keep adding new areas over time so there is a sense of requirement bloat for the game (my old iPhone 11 had no problems with it initially but 2 years ago it got so big that it took up literally half of my phone space so I had to delete it), but it's never really felt any bigger/more demanding than a game like BotW/TotK IIRC. So it is much more ambitious than its mobile release would suggest, the game is very AAA feeling in a lot of ways, but not so ambitious that I wouldn't expect even an 8th gen console to struggle with it, I've been playing it on PS4 and it runs just fine aside from the lighting being kinda dim and ugly.

I did later see some comments claiming that it was more Sony trying to phase out the PS4 than the PS4 not being able to run it. I don't pay enough attention to Sony to know how accurate that claim is, but I certainly hope that's the case. If it really can't run well on PS4... that's a big yikes, that basically limits it to only the highest end of hardware on the market. And that would seriously concern me since the Switch 2 is the only hardware upgrade I've made in the last 3 years (the PS5 and XBSX haven't showed me anything exclusive to those two that feels worth it, and I haven't been able to afford to upgrade my laptop or phone yet).

I keep forgetting this one, I think might be my answer for what I'd want on Switch 2.

There is honestly not too many games that need S2 ports. If you look at the top 100 Metacritic for S1 games, they were often 1st party, Indies, or did not have intensive graphics. So if we get similar output over the next 5-7 years, S2 will be a success. Anyway, hoping for

@kmtrain83 That is a great list, and I'd like to thing that pretty much every title you noted would be 'within the realm of possibility'. Larian did a great job getting D:OS2 running on Switch1, so I don't think a BG3 port on Switch2 would be out of the question.

The Mana X account put out a tweet to celebrate that Visions of Mana came out 1 year ago today.
Vast majority of the comments are just people saying 'put it on Switch 2!'. 😆
I may be biased, but I really believe that's where the Mana audience is, and it would have performed better there. I remember that it didn't even last more than a week on PS4/Xbox in the top 40 sales chart that NL release.
