Nintendo should add a web browser, Nintendo Music, YouTube Music, and StreetPass to the Switch 2 because these features would make the system feel more modern, connected, and futuristic than ever before. The Switch is already an amazing hybrid console, but adding these features would turn it into an all-in-one device that fits better into how people actually use technology today.
A built-in web browser would be incredibly useful for quick searches, checking guides, watching videos, or even just looking things up without needing another device. Every modern handheld device has one, and adding it to the Switch 2 would make it feel less limited and more like a true smart console.
Music apps like Nintendo Music and YouTube Music would make a huge difference to the overall experience. Being able to listen to music on the home menu, in the eShop, or even while playing certain games would make the console feel more alive and personalized. Imagine browsing the eShop or customizing your home screen while your favorite Nintendo tracks or playlists are playing—it would be immersive and relaxing, and it would make the system feel premium and next-gen.
Bringing back StreetPass would also be a big win. It was one of the most unique and fun features Nintendo ever made, encouraging real-world interaction in a simple, magical way. Adding StreetPass to the Switch 2 would make carrying the console feel exciting again, rewarding players just for bringing it with them and connecting with others.
All of these features together would make the Switch 2 feel less like just a gaming console and more like a futuristic handheld system built for modern life. They would add personality, convenience, and immersion—things Nintendo has always been great at when it fully embraces them.
I don't want to break down your hopes, but I doubt the Switch 2 would have a web browser... especially since the Switch 1 didn't have one either. I think it's because of security issues - if I recall correctly, the Wii U's web browser led to hacking exploits and things like that. And personally speaking, I don't need the Switch 2 to have a web browser anyway, since I can just use my phone or PC to look up a guide or something for whichever game I'm playing if I need to.
Having a version of Nintendo Music for the Switch 2 would be neat, admittedly, for playing music while you're in the home menu. Though once again, I could use my phone for that, so I'm in no rush. I think Nintendo wanted to have the home menu run smooth as butter too, which is partly why there's no music in it. I liked using StreetPass on the 3DS and I certainly won't mind seeing it come back... but I don't know if it would return on the Switch 2 due to the size of the system.

i know your not Trying to Break My Hopes But I Still Were Getting a web browser on Switch 2 Because it could be useful for people who don't have Smart Phones or Smart tables or computers And if switch 2 had a web browser it would have No HomeBrew exploits Because the Original Switch With SwitchBru Has No Successful Exploits at all @D-Star92

Then Lunch Kirby Retrun to DreamLand Demo And when the Lunchs i Click Eshop and click Non-Sign-in User And Click Nintendo account Information And click What's Changed Then i scholl-down to Facebook And it lets me watch Facebook videos on My Switch 2
Switch 2 is a perfect Handled/Console For a Web browser Because Some People Don't Have Smart Phone's Or smart Table's or Smart TV's Or Computers @Bigmanfan
Phones and tablets have browsers, but that also makes them susceptible to malware. That's an acceptable risk on a device that's designed to protect apps from each other and grant them only the permissions that they need. If yours gets infected with anything nasty, that's mostly your problem; not the maker of the phone or its software.
For a games console though, any exploit could leave the door wide open to hacks and piracy. Nintendo learned the hard way with both the 3DS and the Wii U. Even Sony don't have a proper browser on their consoles any more for similar reasons. Microsoft do, but they're specialists in both browser and operating system development, and the next XBox will probably more resemble a Windows PC anyway.
@SSL98071 Bruh, it is the year of our Lord 2026, how the heck do you have a Switch 2 and not a smart phone? Like what? But yeah, I'm guessing that Venn diagram of people who own a Switch 2 and not a smart phone is real damn small, so I still don't think that justifies the web browser's existence.
Also, please do not tag me in four separate messages that are all pretty much the same thing. There is no reason to do that and it is incredibly irritating.
PS5 has a Working Web browser With No Explots And there's Away to Get a Web browser on PS5 And it works @Matt_Barber
Switch/Switch2 Web browser dose NOT Work Because it gives a message saying Page Cannot be displayed And i hope some Makes Dns sever to get rid of Page cannot be displayed SwitchBru don't NOT Conut But
No Hate on SwitchBru or MVGMosse because There Really Good people i don't hate them At all
@SSL98071 SwitchBru does not give you access to a fully functional web browser. You're extremely limited on what you can do with it, as it's only supposed to be used for things like logging on to networks that require a password and the like.
The same goes for the one on the PS5. There are hacks that'll let you point it to arbitrary sites. However, it can't render anything remotely complex.
If you're fine with having such a restricted walled garden approach, I dare say that there's something similar already built into the Switch 2 that exploits may eventually start appearing for. However, you're never going to get anything remotely close to as functional as the one on your phone, as that's where the exploits would start risking the security of the console.
Switch and Switch 2 have no web Explots So Switch 2 Could have a web browser @Matt_Barber
XboxOne/XboxseriesXS Have A Web browser with no Explots and you Can't Download Anything on it
