@NotASockPuppet It wasn't a pre-order, just registered as wanting a pre-order (pre pre order?). Some people may still snag them, Nintendo simply updated their website to warn people that most people wouldn't get it anytime soon.
@CJD87
It feels like a giant burden is lifted from your shoulders when you do that soul-searching and make the decision to embrace digital instead of treating it like the enemy. Suddenly all that stress about physical carts dissappear, and you can focus on what really matters- the games.
Plus, having your entire library with you always is so convenient. Swap games without ever getting up. Play anything at any time.

I'm not saying it's the greatest but I do think its good enough to warrant the argument being made.
EXCLUSIVES
Mario Kart World (equivalent to Zelda BotW)
Welcome Tour (better than 1-2 Switch)
Fast Fusion (better than Fast Racing Neo)
Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma
Yakuza 0: Director's Cut
Bravely Default HD Remastered
NSW2 EDITION EXCLUSIVES
Zelda Breath of the Wild NSW2 Ed.
Zelda Tears of the Kingdom NSW2 Ed.
Kirby The Forgotten Land NSW2 Ed.
Mario Party Jamboree NSW2 Ed.
NSO ADDITIONS
GameCube
Zelda The Windwaker
F-Zero GX
Soul Caliber II
3RD PARTY MULTIPLAT RELEASES
Cyberpunk 2077 (mouse/gyro aiming)
Street Fighter 6
Hitman World of Assassination
Split Fiction
Civilization VII
Hogwarts Legacy
Deltarune
I think it's very impressive, personally. And perhaps what really makes it so exciting is all these games being hybrid handheld, but that is a natural benefit of games which release on the platform. Getting the 3rd party multiplats on yet another 4k twin platform wouldn't be all that exciting. But getting them hybrid handheld makes them extremely notable releases. Especially with gyro aiming and mouse integration for a number of them.

I'm sorry but I like the 1-2-Switch games + Everybody 1-2-Switch.
They are not bad games anyway.
Also, Mario Kart World looked similar as LEGO DRIVE 2K in term of their similarity gameplay.
Switch launch for me was Snipperclips, Breath of the Wild and Fast Racing RMX. Switch 2 is Mario Kart World, BotW/TotK enhanced editions, GC on NSO and Fast Fusion. They're pretty similar for me, probably Switch 2 has the edge

@NeonPizza I get what your saying about those older games. Of course you can never mimic those feeling of playing those games for the first time but I think that it's those memories of that feeling that make me playing them again. Kind of like watching a movie you have seen a hundred times or rereading a book that you enjoyed that sort of thing. It's like comfort food lol.
Speaking of movies I am that way with current movies as well. I'd rather sit at home, and either stream or watch a DVD of a movie I have seen hundred times then go to a theater and see a movie. To be honest I can't remember when I was excited to see a new movie lately. Hell, I read somewhere the Jaws is going to be back in theaters for its 50th anniversary and I got more excited for that then the latest Marvel movie. I mean granted I never saw Jaws in theaters to begin with, that was a little before my time, the earliest memory I have of Jaws is sneaking away with some cousins of mine and watching that and Gremlins in their room while our parents visited. Those were the days haha. I remember freaking out at that scene with gremlin in the microwave lol.
Totally agree with you on trophies/achievements I am the same way. If I get them cool if not cool as well. No way am I going to stand in one place and jump 100 times just for an achievement, that's just a waste of time. I don't mind the ones that you get for beating a level, I don't need a pat on the back for beating a level, beating it is it's own reward but I know that there are others out there that need that but whatever. Honestly I think developers just add trophies to say hey this game if 100 hours when in truth there is only 30 hours of actual story or gameplay and the other 70 is doing stuff that has no bearing on the game but is just there to give and achievement.

As for S2 physical media? Nah. The giant red top Banner, bland CG stock cover art, and the Bar code and bottom box of text tarnish for NS2 Editions, and really degrade the artistry. Retro Physical media by comparison(8-16 bit generations)are like pieces of art, that can become a part of your home decor.
I'm old enough to have played those 8 bit and 16 bit "retro" games back when they were new, and in those times they often had a whole bunch of large text boxes and other extraneous crap taking up space from the cover art. Like this:
So while the Switch 2 boxes are a downgrade from Switch 1 boxes when it comes to cover art, a small-font disclaimer at the very bottom of the cover is still much better than how a lot of Nintendo game boxes used to look back in the day, with slogans, advertisements, publishers logos and Nintendo's own various stamps and logos taking up a big part of the cover estate.
Well I'm all signed up for MKW at Switch 2 launch, but don't think it has anything like the innovation and sheer joy to play that Botw did in fact as I've said before after I've seen everything the game has to offer, I don't think I'll be looking to replay it at all, I'll just likely sell it on.
I was able to pre-order the bundle with MKW and a Pro Controller 2 through Walmart! I honestly did not expect them to restock that quickly but I'm glad I checked when I did.
Hopefully it doesn't get canceled now lol

Some annoyances I have with a few business decisions (which I can say about any company in the games industry, to be fair to Nintendo) aside, yeah, I decided to pre-order. Mario Kart World bundle, Street Fighter 6, NS 2 Pro Controller, 256GB express micro sd card and Donkey Kong Bananza. Switch 1 is what I've gamed on the most since 2017 so it was a no-brainer, given the quality of the lineup and the much more powerful hardware that has a lot of cool features, mouse support being most intriguing.
@JaxonH
When you break it all down the way you did, while 'best ever' may be a stretch, this lineup is definitely up there. Given how well Mario Kart usually sells, having the new one as a full exclusive is a very big deal, then you factor in extra stuff like the NSO lineup that now will have some Gamecube classics and day one of this system isn't going to be short on stuff to play. The big third party game for me is Street Fighter 6. Having the 'current' entry on a Nintendo platform for the first time since SSF IV on 3DS is great and the fact it seems to stand up so well to the PS5, Series X and PC version is even better. Means it shouldn't be left out of any DLC.
