I have not seen a topic on this so I'm making one. If they can get Elden Ring running on it and Borderlands 4, anything is possible. What are some games you want?
I want non cloud versions of RE games, a SMT IV collection, and Dragon Quest 12.
Well they got me already with a new Hyrule Warriors so my eye is on 3rd parties. Hoping Bamco ports Soul Calibur VI and Tekken and that SEGA either ports VF or the whole Yakuza series (so I can play VF). Still hoping for NHL to come over eventually. Nintendo is getting a good swath of JRPGs and Indies so not worried about those. I would like to see some more Bethesda games. Skyrim was nice on the go.

I'm a Dream Fighter. Perfume is Love, Perfume is Life.
Just the two that we'll not likely see for a couple of years at least, A new Zelda and a new 3d mario game, I can leave all the third party ports alone as I have a gaming PC and that takes care of them better than the Switch 2 ever could.
I am desperate for a remake/remaster of Kid Icarus Uprising.
You could already do it with a dual stick setup, or even gyro, but now MOUSE control is an option, too?
It'd be PERFECT.
Other than that, some Nintendo-specific games I would love to see are a Switch 2 Edition of Smash Ultimate — doesn't even need to add new characters, but reworking the online and matchmaking, and adding back in the handful of missing modes/bosses/stages would be amazing and a great excuse to dive back into this game — hell, a bump up to resolution and/or frame-rate would be pretty sick, too.
I'd honestly love to see Mario Bros. Wonder's Switch 2 Edition sooner rather than later, especially if it comes with an expansion. An excuse to replay that amazing game again and bring my spouse along for the ride this time would be very fun.
Something new, fresh and unexpected. Something that, the moment I see it, I know I need but which I couldn’t tell you about at all right now.
…by its very nature though I can’t predict what that is so it’s hard to predict.
I’d certainly like to see a Metroid Dread sequel. And a really good Star Fox (though we’ve been disappointed a few times there). A sequel to Kirby Forgotten Land would be great (but it’s likely a while off given the expansion that’s coming).
I expect a new Fire Emblem next year and since 3 houses was so good that’s something I’d jump on.
In terms of ports or reworked games I’d like to see Samus Returns and Link Between Worlds from 3DS. I’d also like to see NSMB all stars.
Echos of Wisdom doesn’t run particularly well so I’d like to play the S2 edition (which is already confirmed I believe).
New Famicom Detective Club, Ace Attorney 7, Monster Hunter, Monster Hunter Stories, and some cool new IP like what Splatoon was for the Wii U. Just something fresh that tries something new for Nintendo with an intuitive gameplay loop and a charming setting.
I want a new Fire Emblem game, which we will most definitely get. However, I hope it doesn’t have the art style of Engage. The opening hours quite literally made me put the game down and sell it - something I never do. Other than that, a new Xenoblade Chronicles game would be greatly appreciated.
@M67
I'm with you, although I think it'll be absolutely ages before Nintendo release either on Switch 2, I'm also confused why no one is mentioning a new Star Fox, surely that game is due for a new iteration or a remake.
Basically any game that did not make its way to the OG Switch for whatever reason.
Just a glance at the top 300 PS4 games that aren't available on Switch includes:
Devil May Cry 5
Final Fantasy XIV, XV, and XVI. And XIII while you're at it, S-E.
Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil 4 Remake (running natively)
Monster Hunter World + Icebourne
Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth
Dark Souls II & III
NORCO
Psychonauts 2
Odin Sphere Leiftrasir and/or Dragon's Crown
Diablo IV
Mass Effect Legendary Edition
Tales of Arise
Tomb Raider Reboot Trilogy
Wasteland 3
Frostpunk
Zero Escape Trilogy
Desperados III
Vanquish Remastered
Deep Rock Galactic
I’ve been pretty disappointed we have not seen the Star Wars: Rogue Leader and Rogue Squadron games. Probably my fav SW games and just feel like a huge missed opportunity.
I’ll also second remakes of some 3DS games- Samus Returns and A Link Between Worlds would be great.
I’m surprised neither the rumoured Star Wars Jedi games have been announced considering the latest was made available on PS4 and Xbox One last year after the rumoured Switch 2 delay.

For sure Nintendo Switch 2 Editions of all Xenoblade games. But if that doesn't happen, I can settle for a locked 720p docked image output in handheld mode with stable 30fps on the Switch OLED. Still, I can only imagine how good Xenoblade 2 could be with a NSW2 Edition
Even though I'm happy with this, imagine Switch 2 Editions at 1080p handheld with 60fps...
If I were to throw a short list of 3rd party games together I'd say:
Mass Effect Legendary Edition (gyro, mouse)
Baldur's Gate 3 (mouse)
Tomb Raider Reboot Trilogy
Resident Evil VII (gyro, mouse)
Resident Evil Village (gyro, mouse)
Resident Evil 4 Remake (gyro, mouse)
Monster Hunter World (gyro)
Visions of Mana
Persona 3 Remake
Metaphor Fantazio
Halo MasterChief Collection (gyro, mouse)
Gears 5 (gyro, mouse)
The Witcher 3 NSW2 Edition
And uh... thats pretty much it. Switch 2 is already getting so many games I wanted (Cyberpunk, Street Fighter 6, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Yakuza 0, Hades 2, Hogwarts Legacy, etc.) my list is nearly half the size it would have been a month ago.
For 1st party wishlist, I really just want to see the next Fire Emblem, the new IP from Monolith Soft and Metroid Prime 2 and 3 Remastered. Obviously I'll be enjoying countless other titles but these are the ones I specifically want to see.
Vampire Survivors is technically backwards compatible, but I hope it gets a proper Switch 2 version to handle things better than the Switch 1. And with cross-saves properly implemented, I will be able to use it as my primary way to play it instead of my Series S (this game being currently the only reason I turn it on).
