And you already know there's gonna be double that at minimum, with countless as-of-yet unannounced releases to look forward to. Many have been leaked, particularly a number of Microsoft titles like Ninja Gaiden 4, Doom The Dark Ages and so on, and we know Call of Duty will be debuting soon, probably next year, and we know Ubisoft will continue to ramp up its support. We'll probably see Expedition 33 and Baldur's Gate 3- if not releasing next year then certainly announced. It's gonna be a bonanza.

I'm actually really excited for the Mario Wonder S2 edition - not necessarily for the co-op stuff they showed, but for the extra levels they're likely to include (and they pretty much confirmed that, right? I know they focused on the multiplayer park, but I thought they hinted at levels, too). Wonder is such a fantastic game - I've played it to 100% a couple times now, and I think it's gonna be one of those games I go back to every couple years for a playthrough.
@rallydefault They showed some side quest with Captain Toad and showed at least the existence of a couple levels but we don't know much. Since the DLC is named after the multiplayer portion I assume it will be mostly multiplayer, but perhaps it's a big DLC and we get a decent amount of single player too. I hope so. We'll have to wait and find out.
@FishyS
Yea, the multiplayer is the focus, and I think my daughter will like playing that with me. But I want some more levels! Haha
The Animal Crossing S2 edition is intriguing to me, too, because I was one of the dozen Switch owners who never bought it. I really like farming sims like Harvest Moon and sometimes Rune Factory, but I’m not so much into decorating and all that. So I’m not sure if I’ll bite this time around.
@rallydefault The odd thing about the animal crossing Switch 2 edition is that the biggest new additions to the game are coming for free to the Switch 1 edition.
Great game but if you don't like decorating... that was already a decent part of the original game and looks to be an even larger portion of the new stuff.
Just have to say Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is one of my favorite games I've played. Like all Prime games, it has aspects I love and some that aren't as strong, but overall, having finished it, I rank it above Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and can confidently place it in my Top 5 of All Time list.
The story is minimal, but the characters make it so engaging. A simple, straightforward plot with emotional twists can be extremely effective. You don't always need some massive, complex narrative. In fact, less is more has never felt as true as with MP4.
The reveal of who Sylux used to be at the end, and what caused the divide between him and Samus... it gives me chills.
@rallydefault
Don't think you're alone. I couldn't get into Animal Crossing, though I wouldn't say I hate the game in theory, what I dislike is the frustrating lack of respect for the player's time. All this dialog that adds little to nothing with no way to skip, for example. The way it takes forever to do anything in the game. It drives me crazy.
If they updated the game to allow skipping entire dialog sequences like Octopath Traveler 0, and tripled the speed of every task in the game, and let you preview where an item would be positioned before taking it out of your bag so you don't have to put it back in, open menu again, find item again, select it, confirm the selection, only to learn it's still not positioned where you wanted... I might actually play through the game.

@JaxonH i'm going to explode you personally for specifically forgetting tomodachi life, that's another "for switch 1" game.
but yeah i'd like to emphasize how the switch 2 hasn't had a bad lineup for what was about six months so far. most consoles aren't really worth it until a year or two in and nintendo seems to have a great pace going right now.
remember; your chicken parm is not safe around me!
If they updated the game to allow skipping entire dialog sequences like Octopath Traveler 0, and tripled the speed of every task in the game,
To be fair, there are buttons you can press to speed up crafting massively and to quickly skim past text (not quite a full skip of course). I only mention this because a lot of people used to complain about how slow things were without realizing you could speed them up.
Street Fighter 6 World Tour is freaking awesome. Easily the best single player mode of any Street Fighter to date... heck, any fighting game to date.
I love how your character learns from the main character "masters" and plays in their style with their moves until you go on to the next master to learn from, and how gear affects your stats, and how there's a skill tree, with a story that's actually quite involved and interesting. I enjoy how fleshed out these characters are that aren't main fighters in the game, like Bosch, Alice and Thrasher.
This is the most fleshed out single player campaign of a fighter I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. And it's so dang fun! Side missions teach you combos and how to chain attacks, when to throw, when to leverage an opening for a special, and it's a nice, ease-you-in approach.
Most of all, I like the RPG-like level up aspect. It gives you incentive to fight. And the fact you can use special moves out in the world to traverse gaps (Chun-Li spinning kick) or break crates for items inside, it actually makes exploration fun too.
@FishyS
That's fair, and actually something I said about Metroid Prime 4 when I heard Seth on IGN complaining about how long fast travel took in Fury Green via the Cannon, when you can literally press A to skip the entire sequence aside from the Loading section when the capsule is in-air, then completely skip the exit sequence the moment the capsule lands and "Saving" disappears from the lower left hand corner of the screen.
But with AC, it's just the overall tempo of the game. It's very hard for someone like me to not feel frustrated by it. Probably just not my type of game. That said, I will give it another chance when the NS2 Edition drops.

What are your predictions for how all of these crazy RAM and solid state price increases are going to affect Nintendo’s pricing? Do you think we’ll see them raise the price of the system in 2026? I still think they’ll try and find the money elsewhere.
@rallydefault
Hmm... thus far I've been reluctant to make any predictions because it could go either way really.
But if I had to hazard a guess, I'd say Nintendo will not increase price, and here's why:
They already increased prices of NS1 and that's on top of never having dropped the price. So it's kind of like a double increase from where it normally would be.
And the Switch 2 was certainly already priced accounting for potential tarifs, regardless of what their official narrative is. And given the tariffs are back down and not out of control like it was, I think that pricing buffer they built in can soak up some of these increased costs.
Furthermore, they can absorb some costs beyond that accounting for economies of scale lowering costs in the coming years. I think they're keenly aware of the dangers of pricing people out, as they experienced first hand with 3DS about 15 years ago.
If anything, I think they'll eliminate the bundles which give a $20-30 discount on games. By selling only the base console, and letting people purchase their first game for $70-80, they make an extra $20-30 which would more than cover any increased costs. That would be a slick way of "increasing price" without, well... increasing price.
But I could be dead wrong so, there's that.

Just finished Pragmata Sketchbook demo on Steamdeck. The game is really good. And what I especially like is how I've never experienced anything quite like it. As an aside, the difficulty is just right. I died on the boss but came back the 2nd time and got him. There is a "Story" difficulty too though, if ppl find it too much.
edit
I'm watching this tutorial to get to grasp how to properly play Divinity Original Sin 2. It's been so many years I forgot everything. Starting a new save, but this is really helping.
I was honestly considering getting a 1tb one when I did get a Switch 2 but I looked at the price for one and immediately decided "no, getting this now."
Tragic yet expected update: They cancelled my order and refunded me the 20 bucks.
@kkslider5552000 Sad. The same thing happened to me two different times this year when I tried to buy black friday eshop credit sales. Deals which are too good are unfortunately usually either mistakes or super limited.
A Final Fantasy VII Remake demo is live, you say? Well I know what I'm downloading.
After completing Metroid Prime 4, putting in a nice chunk of time into Divinity Original Sin 2 as well as World Tour mode in Street Fighter 6, finishing the Pragmata Sketchbook demo on Steamdeck (didn't wanna wait- I had to try it) then going back to Cyberpunk 2077 last night to progress the story...
And then this morning playing WarioWorld which I'd been meaning to try (I love it- it's really good)... Sure, I'll switch over to Final Fantasy VII Remake. Especially since save data transfers and you get a bonus.
@kkslider5552000
Ordering for store pickup would prevent that. Mine is still "preparing for shipment" but I think I should have ordered for store pickup now. If they cancel oh well.
@Lazz@FishyS@kkslider5552000
My order was also cancelled BUT because a bunch of ppl got the deal using store pickup, they're now on eBay for $40 + Free Shipping, which is only $12 more than the price error after shipping!
The guy I bought from had lots of feedback and 100% but is sold out now. There's someone with 4 feedback at 100% selling for $39.95, and several others with higher feedback for $43.99.
Here's the search results. Sort by price lowest to highest and look at the first few 512GB listings. Even $40-44 is less than half the normal price. And these people deserve their little $5 profit they'll get after eBay takes their cut, given then went through the trouble of buying up the deal and driving in store to pickup, take pics, make a listing, have to ship out, etc. They're really not making more than a couple bucks, tbh. It's a phenomenal deal.
@JaxonH while I haven't found an amazing deal on SD cards, I did pick up a 512GB card during black Friday. While I can't hold every game in my collection, it is so much better than the 256GB card I was using. I need lots of room for Final Fantasy and the 3 RE games...
